“Getting a top job dramatically increases women’s chances of divorce, even in egalitarian countries. Why isn’t it the same for men? Having a successful and enjoyable career alongside a fulfilling romantic relationship is a life goal for many of us. But even in the most gender-equal countries, finding a partnership that lasts is trickier for high-flying women than men…Female medical doctors, police officers and priests who progressed in their careers also followed the trend.” (Source)
How could this be when even Christian women are encouraged from a young age to have a career? Is having a job in the workforce God’s will for women? NO!!! None of this should surprise us at all. God didn’t create us for the workforce. He created us for the home. He created men to be the providers. This is clear from the beginning of Creation.
Why do women fight me so hard on this and give me all of the “what ifs…”? Don’t they see how far more valuable it is for women to be in their homes, being helpers suitable for their husbands rather than for their bosses, raising their own children rather than having strangers raising them, and being homemakers who care for the welfare and health of their families? What has blinded women to what is best for them and their families? Why have they become so hardened by the feminist agenda and jumped onto the broad path that leads to destruction?
Trad wives has become popular on TikTok. There’s these young women who are staying home and caring for their boyfriends or husbands and then are telling it to the world. All of this is fine until the going gets rough. Being a wife, mother, and keeper at home requires a sacrificial life which few young women have any desire of doing. It requires serving your family, giving up your “hopes and dreams” of becoming someone important in their eyes, and working extremely hard. It means cleaning the house over and over again, cooking another meal, wiping up after sick children, sleepless nights, and other trials. It’s not the easy, pleasure-filled life that young women imagine having these days.
But let me tell you, young women, it’s the good life! Nothing good in life comes easy. I have been married over 42 years. I have raised four children. My sixteenth grandchild will make her appearance soon. My husband and I both turn 65 years old this year. I have suffered through many horrible illnesses and injuries. BUT my life is a blessing! It’s a joy to be growing old with the man of my youth whom we’ve raised children will. It’s a joy to have close relationships with all of my children and their children. There is NO greater joy in life than to have children walking in Truth! God’s ways are indeed perfect.
Yes, it’s the narrow path that few want to walk on but it leads to life. Everyone is searching for fulfillment. Most are searching in all of the wrong places. They are pursuing their pleasures rather than pursuing God and His will. They will never find lasting joy and fulfillment apart from God and being obedient to Him. Jump off the broad path now, women, and begin living out God’s perfect will for your life. Instead of investing all of your time and energy into strangers, invest in those whom you love most, your family. They need and want you.
I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
