Americans, already weeping for the decline and possible fall of our democratic republic, learned this week of the passing at age 84 of one of our greatest conservative-libertarian advocates of free minds and free markets, Dr. Walter E. Williams.

Economics is the “dismal science,” but as a columnist, author and longtime professor of economics at George Mason University, Dr. Williams taught with brilliant bluntness and humor about why laissez-faire capitalism is the most moral, most productive economic system humans have ever devised.

Walter Edward Williams was born on March 31, 1936, in Philadelphia into a family that during his childhood consisted of his mother, sister and him. His father reportedly played no role in raising either child.

At age 10 his family moved into North Philadelphia’s Richard Allen housing projects, where one neighbor was a young Bill Cosby. Williams knew the people Cosby later made famous as characters nicknamed Weird Harold and Fat Albert. Williams was also a cousin of legendary NBA player Julius Erving.

After high school, Williams moved to California to live with his father. For one semester he attended Los Angeles City College. In 1959, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, stationed first in the American South and then South Korea. On his personnel form, Williams caused a small ruckus by describing his race as Caucasian.

After his army stint, Williams in 1965 earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and his Master’s degree (1967) and Ph.D. (1972) at the University of California Los Angeles. At UCLA, he met another economist who would be his best friend for the next 50 years, Dr. Thomas Sowell.

Like Sowell, Williams for a time thought of himself as a troublemaker and radical, a black activist drawn more to Malcolm X than to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. But even then, the tough and pragmatic Williams believed that he could help African Americans and others most by teaching how free markets create opportunity and prosperity without discriminating against anyone’s race.

In the second of his 10 books, “The State Against Blacks” (1982), Williams explains why the free market is superior to any individual or group dependence on self-serving politicians and government, whether Marxist, socialist or paternalistic American liberal.

“[L]et me offer you my definition of social justice,” wrote Williams in his 1987 book “All It Takes Is Guts.” “I keep what I earn and you keep what you earn. Do you disagree? Well, then tell me how much of what I earn belongs to you – and why.”

“No matter how worthy the cause,” taught Williams, “it is robbery, theft, and injustice to confiscate the property of one person and give it to another to whom it does not belong.”

Theft by a robber, Williams believed, does not become moral when the same thing is done collectively by a government acting under law; Hitler and Stalin also robbed people “lawfully.”

The Constitution’s Article I Section 8 lists government’s few “enumerated powers,” such as national defense. Under President John F. Kennedy, more than 50 cents of every tax dollar funded national defense; today, nearly 70 cents goes for unconstitutional “transfer payments,” redistribution of wealth by state coercion.

“Prior to capitalism,” taught Williams, “the way people amassed great wealth was by looting, plundering and enslaving their fellow man. Capitalism made it possible to become wealthy by serving your fellow man.”

The free market is not coercive and lets people voluntarily exchange money or barter for products or services they freely choose to buy. The free market is simply human freedom in the economic realm.

By contrast, taught Williams: “Government is about coercion. Limiting government is the single most important instrument for guaranteeing liberty.” But government schools have dumbed our children down, leaving them easily seduced by welfare, “tax the rich” demagogues, and politicians’ divide-and-conquer tactics to gain more power for themselves.

To help free Americans from such racial polarization, Dr. Williams created his “Proclamation of Amnesty and Pardon Granted to All Persons of European Descent,” giving white Americans his “full and general amnesty and pardon” for wrongs they or their ancestors may have committed against African-Americans.

(Natural News) As the old saying goes, “Desperate times call for desperate measures” — and we are very obviously living in desperate times.

It seems very clear to thinking, rational Americans that the 2020 election was stolen from President Donald Trump. The evidence and the affidavits being collected and produced by the president’s campaign legal staff and others including Lin Wood and Sidney Powell is overwhelming.

But the problem is, there are too many cowards — on federal and state courts and in state legislatures in key battlegrounds — who deny the obvious just so they don’t have to do the right thing and act boldly to save our republic.

Because let’s face it: If we don’t have free and fair elections anymore, and it’s obvious we don’t, then our country no longer belongs to the American people. If we allow this election theft to occur, then ‘they’ will have stolen the last functional institution bequeathed to us by earlier generations of citizens.

And they will continue stealing elections until they change our system of government empowering them to rule ‘legally’ for the rest of our days (which would also render our republic dead).

So — times are desperate. And patriots are stepping up to call on President Trump to take desperate measures to save our Constitution and revitalize our institutions.

“Good morning. Our country is headed to civil war. A war created by 3rd party bad actors for their benefit – not for We The People. Communist China is leading the nefarious efforts to take away our freedom. @realDonaldTrump should declare martial law,” Wood wrote on Twitter Monday.

In his post, he tweet-quoted a press release from a patriot group called We The People Foundation, which makes the identical recommendation. (Related: Situation Update – Dec. 1st – ROGUE government must be ABOLISHED by the people.)

A statement from that group says, in part: 

Tom Zawistowski, President of the TEA Party affiliated We the People Convention (WTPC) and Executive Director of the Portage County TEA Party, published a full page ad in the Washington Times newspaper demanding that President Trump Invoke limited Martial law in order to allow the U.S. Military to oversee a new free and fair federal election if Legislators, Courts and the Congress do not follow the Constitution. …

The Ad compares the Extraordinary Executive actions implemented by President Abraham Lincoln in his efforts to save the Union during the Civil War and the literal civil war that is dividing our nation today. Without full confidence that our courts or Congress will indeed follow the 12th Amendment of the Constitution and defend our electoral process, the ad calls upon President Trump, like Lincoln, to exercise the Extraordinary Powers of his office and declare limited Martial Law to temporarily suspend the Constitution and civilian control of these federal elections in order to have the military implement a national re-vote that reflects the true will of the people. Federal candidates only. Paper ballots. No computers. Hand-counted with both parties watching every vote. Only registered voters. Photo ID to prove residence. Conducted safely with everyone wearing masks and six feet apart, just like we did in Ohio.

What did Lincoln do?

— He ordered hundreds of newspapers in the North that spoke out against his wartime actions and policies to be shut down and their owners and editors arrested;

— After Lincoln heard that U.S. Supreme Court Roger Taney ruled he violated the Constitution when he suspended the writ of Habeas Corpus, he ordered the chief justice arrested (he never was, though);

— He ordered the arrest of thousands of people in Maryland suspected of being Southern sympathizers;

— He also ordered the raising of an Army and expansion of the Navy without congressional approval or funding.

“While some debate these measures still today, no one disagrees that Lincoln and his use of Presidential power were responsible for saving the Republic. While History, and even former President Obama, has judged Lincoln as perhaps our greatest President, few would have agreed at the time he took those actions,” the press released added. “Then, as now, a President with courage and determination was needed to preserve the Union. Today, the current threat to our United States by the international and domestic socialist/communist left is much more serious than anything Lincoln or our nation has faced in its history – including the civil war.”

“It is OUR EXCLUSIVE RIGHT to elect our President and that sacred right has been infringed by the massive, planned, illegal election fraud conducted by corrupt Democrat/Socialist Party operatives across our nation to steal our vote. We will NOT stand for it,” Zawistowski said.

“She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house” (Proverbs 7:11)

“She is full of talk, self-willed, disobedient to her husband, rebellious against God, and incorrigible by any admonitions of ministers or friends. “She is the opposite of the careful, modest housewife, who stays at home and manages her family affairs (Titus 2:5). The Vulgate inserts another trait: quietis impatiens, ‘always restless.’” (Pulpit Commentary)

Here we have a woman who is not content at home. She is not content with her husband. She refuses to be his help meet. She refuses to be a keeper at home and make her home a haven for her family. No, she is “always restless” and is seeking pleasure outside of what God has called her to do. Her feet abide not in her home. She is the complete opposite of the Proverbs 31 woman.

She in rebellion to what God calls her to be. He commands her to have a meek and quiet spirit which seeks to love and serve her family well. This is to be her main goal and ministry.  A godly woman understands that godliness with contentment is great gain, so she disciplines herself to find joy at home caring for her family. She knows that God’s ways are perfect, so she trusts Him in what He has asked of her. She knows that children are blessings from Him, so she does all she can to bear and raise godly offspring.

She loves her husband and lives in submission to him. She wants the best for him and does what she can to please him. She has zero desire to flirt with or seek out other men’s attention. She is a covenant keeper and will be faithful to the husband of her youth until death do they part.

Home is her favorite place to be. She understands that if she is neglecting her home, she is neglecting God’s command to her. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness (Proverbs 31:27). She stores her treasures in heaven by obeying God. She keeps eternity in her vision instead of the momentary, fleeting pleasures of this world.

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

Her Feet Abide Not in Her House

(Natural News) “Something extremely bogus is going on,” billionaire Elon Musk tweeted two weeks ago, after he had received two negative and two positive coronavirus test results within a day. In fact, even the U.S. government has admitted on multiple occasions that rapid tests for COVID have serious accuracy problems.

On November 3, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released guidelines for COVID-19 rapid antigen testing, acknowledging a high likelihood of incorrect results. The letter stated that medical professionals “should expect some false positive results to occur even when very accurate tests are used for screening large populations with a low prevalence of infection.”

According to the FDA, the accuracy of rapid tests depends almost totally on the amount of COVID-19 in the population being tested. “As disease prevalence decreases, the percent of test results that are false positives increase,” the FDA stated.

“For example, a test with 98% specificity” would accurately screen “just over 80% in a population with 10% prevalence.” More than “20 out of 100 positive results would be false positives,” they said.

The FDA added that “in a population with 1% prevalence, only 30% of individuals with positive test results actually have the disease.” In an area with 0.1% prevalence, positive results from rapid tests would be right merely 4% of the time.

“Health care providers should take the local prevalence into consideration when interpreting diagnostic test results,” the FDA emphasized.

Prevalence rate of COVID has been recorded as low as between 0.0%-1.79% in Idaho and 6.4% in Pennsylvania, for example. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently estimated the prevalence rate in the New Orleans metropolitan area to be around 7%.

The FDA detailed additional reasons for rapid testing inaccuracies, including cross-contamination and complications for processing samples in batches. The federal government committed to the distribution 150 million rapid tests this year.

The CDC has echoed the FDA’s recommendations, noting that antigen tests “are not 100% accurate and some false positive results or false negative results may occur.”

“Antibody test results should not be used to determine if someone can return to work” or “to group people together in settings such as schools, dormitories, and correctional facilities,” the CDC stated.

“People who receive positive results on an antibody test but don’t have symptoms of COVID-19 and have not been around someone who may have COVID-19 are not likely to have a current infection” and should “continue with normal activities,” they said.

The CDC had issued similar guidelines in August, which stated that “predictive values are determined by the percentage of truly antibody positive individuals in the tested population (prevalence, pre-test probability) and the sensitivity and specificity of the test.” The same month, a study published in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology determined that rapid tests with 98% specificity deployed in American schools could yield around 800,000 false positives every week.

In October, the Health Department of Nevada barred rapid tests in nursing homes after finding that at least 58% of a sample of positive results actually were negative. A Nevada health official cautioned that defective antigen tests pose particular risks for nursing homes residents, who could be “in danger of contracting the virus” by being confined “to a room full of actual positive residents.” The Department of Health and Human Services quickly pressured Nevada into rescinding the ban.

Concerns about the effectiveness of COVID tests extend beyond rapid antigen testing. Another peer-reviewed article from August found that RT-PCR tests result in false negatives in up to 29% of cases. The CDC has touted PCR tests, which work by evaluating gene samples, as the “gold standard” of COVID testing methods.

Nevertheless, on November 17, the CDC highlighted a study showing that screening for a single PCR test only caught 53% of all positive cases of COVID in students returning home from college. The FDA likewise blamed the method of PCR tests when health workers in Vermont discovered that only about 6% of positive results from a sample of antigen tests were affirmed subsequently by PCR. A team of American and British scientists also have claimed that PCR nasal swabs have around 63% sensitivity, while PCR throat swabs have 32% sensitivity. The researchers denied that a “gold standard” for coronavirus tests exists.

The main PCR protocol for testing for COVID has come into question since the journal that published the original article failed for ten months to provide a peer-reviewed report. At the end of November, “an international consortium of life-science scientists” submitted a letter demanding retraction of the paper, calling it “severely flawed with respect to its biomolecular and methodological design.”

An appeals court in Portugal recently deemed PCR testing for the coronavirus to be unreliable. Other legal challenges are pending in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and South Africa, according to former Pfizer Vice President Dr. Mike Yeadon. Writing for Lockdown Skeptics, Yeadon criticized mass PCR testing in the United Kingdom, warning of “a severe risk of what we call a ‘PCR false positive pseudo-epidemic.’” Last month, a whistleblower exposed massive

contamination risks in a major UK testing facility staffed with employees who had “no experience with this sort of facility or handling bio-hazardous.”

New reports of substantial COVID test issues have come as state governments across the country have enacted extreme restrictions on social activities in light of an alleged “fall surge.”

Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo (D) decreed a “social gathering limit” two weeks ago, saying, “you should not be spending time socially with anyone you don’t live with — this includes on Thanksgiving.” Oregon implemented a “Two-Week Freeze” on November 18, limiting at-home gatherings to six people, and fully closing businesses deemed “non-essential.” More than a dozen states are pursuing similar policies.

California re-instated a stay-at-home order, banned singing in churches, and recommended that families celebrate Thanksgiving outside. Governor Gavin Newsom (D) energized an ongoing recall campaign against him earlier this month when he was pictured at a party in a high-end restaurant with the CEO of the California Medical Association. Participants were not wearing masks and not socially distanced.

While governors have cited apparently unprecedented numbers of COVID cases and hospitalizations, the reliability of seemingly rising rates remains a live question. Along with the wealth of evidence attesting to failures of COVID testing, other studies have noted that the COVID death rate has dropped by 70% since March and that total U.S. fatalities only have increased by 11,292 compared to 2018.

(Natural News) Big Tech censorship has swelled to the point that President Donald Trump is finally laying down the law with an ultimatum: either Congress repeals Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (CDA), or Trump vetoes the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

In a tweet, the president reiterated that Section 230 “is a liability shielding gift from the U.S. to ‘Big Tech’ (the only companies in America that have it – corporate welfare!).” He added that the clause is “a serious threat to our National Security & Election Integrity,” allowing tech giants like Facebook and Twitter to interfere in the election process without consequence.

“Our Country can never be safe & secure if we allow it to stand,” Trump explained about why Section 230 needs to go.

“Therefore, if the very dangerous & unfair Section 230 is not completely terminated as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), I will be forced to unequivocally VETO the Bill when sent to the very beautiful Resolute desk. Take back America NOW. Thank you!”

Back in the summer, the Department of Justice (DOJ) issued new guidelines suggesting that Section 230 was on the chopping block. Nothing thus far has materialized, however, so Trump is intervening.

“This is huge news,” writes Jacob Palmieri on his blog. “Section 230 is the only thing allowing for Big Tech to continue their stranglehold on Free Speech. Without it, they will be forced to stop censoring Conservatives.”

The time is now to urge Congress to support the president

What remains to be seen is how much support Trump has from Congress on this issue. Since it has been ruminating for several years now, most in Congress should be aware of what Section 230 entails, and are hopefully prepared to act accordingly.

Even Joe Biden, America’s fake “president-elect,”has stated that once “in office” he will supposedly crack down on Big Tech’s First Amendment abuses, which escalated dramatically after Trump won his first term in the White House.

Why Biden would want to do this when Big Tech helped him steal the election from Trump remains unclear, but this was one of his talking points in the weeks leading up to Nov. 3.

Meanwhile, conservatives all across America are waiting to see which Republicans are willing to join Trump in taking on Big Tech, and which are just useless RINOs (Republicans in name only) who await either Gitmo or the gallows.

As long as Trump has a veto-proof majority of support, the NDAA will be dead in the water if Congress fails to act. Perhaps now is the time to contact your representatives to urge them to do the right thing and hold Silicon Valley accountable for trampling the First Amendment.

Keep in mind that Big Tech is even censoring people for merely questioning the safety and effectiveness of face masks.

We can only ask the question: Where does it all end? If Big Tech is allowed to censor at will, nobody’s free speech is safe. Sure, those who abide by the prevailing narratives of the day see nothing wrong with the tech giants squelching “disinformation,” but what happens when their beliefs are deemed to be “disinformation?”

That famous poem from Martin Niemöller comes to mind, which reads:

Walking down the street, asking anyone in Rosemead, CA, if they knew that the CDC changed the definition of a pandemic from deaths to infections in 2009, on purpose, and that if the original definition had not changed, there would be no lockdown right now. I also ask them if they know that the same number, approximately, of people in America have died this year as last year, only difference is that heart attacks, cancer, car accidents, and other causes of death have all decreased and been replaced by this coronavirus. Makes sense, because hospitals are getting paid $39,000 for each Corona death.

100% of those with masks don’t know this. Those who know little are easy to control.

RE: Open Letter Concerning the use of Police in the discriminatory targeting of certain groups during the current “Pandemic” As a Senior Member of the New South Wales Police Force Public Order & Riot Squad (PORS), I have been involved in many large-scale events and protests since 2009. Until 2016, PORS Commander Chief Superintendent Steve Cullen ran the unit in a manner that approached each mission, with consistency and without prejudice.
Since his departure, the unit appears to have been overrun by bureaucrats and we find ourselves in a situation where a once cohesive unit, has been replaced with uncertainty, division, and conflicts, driven by increased red-tape and competitiveness, causing the demise of good judgement in policing.
This situation has intensified during the declared National State of Emergency, as Police are asked to enforce arbitrary rules against the population, without any verifiable and objective scientific basis, in the name of public health and safety, often infringing upon basic human rights in the process.
Excessive force is being deployed with increasing regularity, causing harm when it is apparently meant for good and the public is losing respect, trust and faith in us. I was shocked when I learned that New South Wales is NOT operating under a declared a State of Emergency. Yet the police are being compelled to enforce directions on the basis they do when it is clearly without these additional powers.
This is contemptible and I have serious concerns over the legality of the infringement notices we are being asked to enforce and issue.
The response to COVID-19 and our directions are often confusing, so I make the point that if the enforcers are unclear, how can we expect the public to be. This has come from what appears to be a rushed response that is perplexing, and its aftereffects are harmful on many levels.
I have read and researched the contents of the open letter sent by officer Alexander Cooney, dated October 26, 2020 [1] and I agree with its contents and echo its sentiments wholeheartedly and strongly support the motion to investigate these assertions and start questioning what is demanded of us, instead of yielding to demands, because they are clearly infringing upon human rights and coming from a place of bias and from those who are not representative or accountable to the people. For example, we were instructed to assist with the BLM and Armenian protests, yet more recently we have been told to “make an example” of people protesting anything deemed to be anti-government, with a “get them quick” attitude. Use of terms like “anti-everything hippies” to describe these protestors, is indicative of the ever-increasing prejudice coming from above.
To further illustrate this concerning prejudice and unprofessional conduct, an Inspector of PORS, in a recent debrief about one of the “Anti Lockdown” protests, has made obscenely derogatory remarks about a child with her mother, who were peacefully protesting.
This raises serious moral and ethical questions about the present state of the force and the potential dangers it poses to our State and country.
Furthermore, I have been involved in protests where directives given on the ground, have clearly put peaceful protestors and innocent bystanders in harm’s way and in direct conflict with the police.
I am sure you would agree that having the support of the community is in our best interest. When the NRL grand final was packed with a 40,000 strong presence and permissions granted to the pub across the road to have its liquor licence extended to accept double patronage with over 1,000 people drinking.
A constant flow of people heading into the precinct from the nearby train station, PORS were instructed to focus their attention on a small protest held in between those events that had to be broken up for alleged “safety reasons”.
Anyone can see the blatant hypocrisy in such double standards and that there is another agenda at play and that it has nothing to do with public health and safety.
3 It appears that the medical establishment has taken over the decision making through unelected Chief Health Officers. Their decisions corner us into relenting to their demands, so questioning the factual basis of these decisions should be encouraged. If there is truly no conspiracy here, why aren’t we having the conversation? Why are we being silenced? Why are we being ostracised for having a differing view? Aren’t these issues the very cornerstone of our democracy?
When we assume a person has committed a crime, we conduct an investigation, yet when a citizen assumes wrongdoing by its government, it’s called a conspiracy theory. If this is not covert social conditioning, then I put it to you that we need to be openly discussing the points raised in Alexander Cooney’s letter.
In the Oath of Office, I swore that peace would be protected to the best of my power and all offences against that peace, defended faithfully to the law. I am aligned to this and the NSW Police Force statement of values which is about integrity, lawfulness, preserving human rights, improving community quality of life, striving for civil and personal satisfaction, capitalising on the wealth of human resources, while making efficient and economical use of public resources, and ensuring authority is exercised responsibly.
Infringements of peace are occurring right now and we must act to defend this and uphold our values, so as a self-respecting and proud officer of the NSW Police, I cannot flout them by allowing this conduct to continue unchallenged.
And as weeks have passed since Alexander Cooney’s open letter was received and clearly, no further probing of its contents done, I have accepted his challenge to write a similar letter and show my solidarity, in the hope that our requests will be taken seriously, so we can persuade positive change and restore community trust in our otherwise honourable police force.

This is the cover of the recent edition of The New Yorker. The title of the article that goes with this picture is “Love Life” by Adrian Tomine. I can’t read the article because I am not a subscriber but I did read this: “Adrian…finds humor in our increasingly digital search for love.” Many women no longer are good housekeepers. Instead of nurturing babies, they are nurturing cats. They find their escape through alcohol. However, when it comes to searching for love, they can put on a beautiful face, a nice hairdo, pretty top, and a friendly smile.

They have been told their entire lives that their goals in life should be to search for all of the pleasure they can find while pursuing a college education and a career where they are taught Marxist feminism (which is complete rebellion against the Lord and His ways). In this way, they will find value, worth, and satisfaction. By the time they are hitting their late 30s, they aren’t so sure about the goals they were taught to seek. With a cluttered home, only cats to cuddle with, and a cold screen to stare at with a drink in their hand, they are finding that their lives are more empty and meaningless rather than fulfilling.

A woman who goes by the name of @SpiritedSparrow on Twitter wrote this about the picture: “Reminder that the same people who think keeping a tidy and cozy home, cooking, baking, raising their children, and loving their husband makes them a slave/doormat, but being alone, drinking, taking pills, eating takeout/Cheetos, and putting on a fake smile for social media is the good life.”

Almost every book in the New Testament warns us about false teachers/teachings. Feminism is false teachings. There is no such thing as Christian feminists but I can tell you that I get the most criticism from the so-called Christian feminists, since they don’t like the way I “interpret” the Bible. My teachings are “dangerous” they warn others. They think their way is the better way, only it’s the false way. There are no Christian feminists. They are simply unbelievers.

Biblical womanhood is unappealing to them. They don’t want to submit to their husbands. They want to be preachers in the churches. They’re “enlightened and educated.” They don’t want to be a slave to any man nor under the authority of any. This isn’t a new and improved way of womanhood. No, it’s the same deceptive tricks that Satan used on Eve. “Hath God said…?” And Christian feminists want to yell “NO” in unison. They need to repent and believe in Jesus Christ and what His Word commands of them. Twisting His Words by adding or subtracting from them is a dangerous place to be.

The Freedom of Feminism?

The ignorance and the lies concerning the Wuhan virus can’t continue much longer, because time is simply revealing the truth about it.  As we continue to suffer under foolish Wuhan virus restrictions, and as many parts of the U.S. — especially those under the rule of Democrats — are again ramping up the shutdowns and the lockdowns, more and more Americans are beginning to see what many of us have long known: the Wuhan virus data simply don’t match the Wuhan virus hysteria.  The evidence of this continues to pile up. 

As they near the end of the first semester, U.S. schools provide some of the best evidence for those sick of shutdown politics and propaganda.  In spite of millions of U.S. students attending in-person classes, nowhere in America are school-aged students suffering in any significant way from the Wuhan virus.  And don’t tell me about “cases.”  As I’ve long noted when it comes to the Wuhan virus, cases without context are meaningless. 

Andrew Bostom again provides us with some important context on Wuhan virus cases.  As of early October, in spite of nearly seventy thousand reported Wuhan virus “cases” across 50 U.S. colleges and universities, there were only three hospitalizations and zerodeaths!  Almost certainly, numbers across all of America’s K–12 schools are similar.  We can be nearly certain that if this were not the case, a media establishment desperate to further the shutdown narrative would tell us so.  (The media have already been caught multiple times publishing fake news on this matter.) 

Months-old data out of Europe told us that schoolchildren were in little to no danger from the Wuhan virus.  As City Journal recently reported:

For young students, the risk of dying from Covid is lower than the risk of dying from the flu, and researchers have repeatedly found that children do not easily transmit the virus to adults.  The clearest evidence comes from Sweden, which did not close elementary schools or junior high schools during the spring Covid wave, and which did not reduce class sizes or encourage students and teachers to wear face masks.

Not a single child died, and there was little effect beyond the schools, as a team of Swedish economists reports after analyzing records of Covid infections and medical treatment for the entire Swedish population. 

Even Dr. “follow the science” Fauci finally agrees that schoolchildren are not significant spreaders of the Wuhan virus!  Yet, in U.S. schools, sporting events continue to get postponed or canceled, and many schools remain in remote learning mode or are threatening to move back in that direction.  Again, every instance of this is driven by “cases.”  Yet the vast majority of students and student-athletes are not getting sick, and if they are, they are certainly not sick to the point of death or even hospitalization.  The longer this pandemic propaganda continues, the longer it becomes clear that shutting down schools and athletic events is nothing more than a political stunt perpetuated by leftist authoritarians, or at least an ignorant reaction to the left’s Wuhan virus fear mongering.

The same is true for the lockdowns imposed on businesses and churches.  As is the case with schools, there is still zero evidence that churches and businesses are in any way significantly complicit in the spread of the Wuhan virus.  As RedState reported recently:

[T]here was never a shred of scientific evidence that putting healthy people in quarantine would do anything to ameliorate the spread of COVD-19.  Moreover, everything we knew about viruses made the idea of quarantining people who aren’t sick completely absurd.

Even the CDC’s most recent pandemic planning guide from 2017 admitted that “direct evidence for the effectiveness of these measures is limited.”  And by “limited” they meant non-existent.  There wasn’t a single study that supports the idea that quarantining healthy people was going to do a damn thing to stop a virus from spreading.

The European Centre for Disease Control’s summary of the research was more honest.  They noted that “there are few, if any, empirical data underpinning” the assumptions that workplace closures do anything to stop viruses from spreading.  Indeed, they found no evidence for the effectiveness of any social distancing measures.

In spite of the science and the months of real-time data that proved it unnecessary, the left has persisted with shutting down businesses and churches.  As a result of these state-enforced lockdowns, hundreds of thousands of small businesses in the U.S. have shut down — many of them permanently. 

Data from late September show that between March 1 and August 31, a total of 163,735 businesses on Yelp — which is especially representative of small businesses — closed.  According to Yelp, about 60 percent of these businesses (nearly 98,000) will never reopen.  The Yelp data reveal that small restaurants and retail stores have been hit particularly hard.  It has made zero sense that Walmart, Target, Home Depot — none of whom were requiring masks as late as middle July — and the like have been allowed to remain open, while your local diner, gun store, or gym was forced to close. 

Some small business–owners have had enough and are defying their states’ lockdown orders. As noted at Powerline recently: 

Larvita McFarquhar, a single mother who owns a bar and restaurant called Havens Garden in Lynd, Minnesota … announced on Facebook that her establishment would be open for business with music and food service from 9 to 11 last night, despite last week’s order from Minnesota’s governor purporting to close all bars and restaurants and despite the threats she received from government agencies.

Likewise:

Robby Dinero, the owner of Athletes Unleashed gym located in Orchard Park, New York, tore up a $15,000 fine from the Erie County Health Department during a live Fox News interview[.] …

The veteran, having pointed out Cuomo’s and Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz[‘s] six-figure taxpayer-funded salaries, challenged them to look their constituents’ children in the eyes and tell them their parents’ work is not “essential.”

The lockdown rules, he believes, deny citizens their Constitutional right to earn a living.

Dinero then ripped up the fine on camera while supporters behind waved American flags and shouted, “We will not comply.”

U.S. News reports that in California, fed up small business–owners “struggling to remain afloat are increasingly defying new shutdown orders.”  Miguel Aguilar, founder and owner of Self Made Training Facility, rightly concludes, “We are definitely not complying.  We have enough information to make an educated decision: The data do not back another shutdown.”

Nor do the data back the mask mandates.  Comparing maps of mask-wearers in U.S. states versus average daily Wuhan virus cases, John Hinderaker at Powerline reveals that there is “no evident correlation between mask wearing and new Wuhan infections.”  A recent Danish study on masks — the largest of its kind — agrees. 

Kevin Roche at Healthy Skeptic recently reported on the Danish mask study and reveals the study’s conclusions: “wearing a mask makes no difference in cases or in level of transmission in the community.”  Data onmask mandates versus Wuhan virus infection cases across the U.S. and Europe reveal the same.

What’s more, anyone paying attention well knows that masks on the public at large are useless for stopping or even slowing the spread of a virus.  Among other things, this is because, outside a surgery room, virtually no one is wearing masks according to CDC standards.  People constantly have their hands on them, they wear them below their noses, they fail to clean them properly, and so on. 

After nine months of near meaningless measures by leftist authoritarians and those duped by their fear-mongering, time has made it clear that the Wuhan virus is simply going to do what most viruses do: run its course, have exposure to the vast majority of us, and have little to no impact on the vast majority of us.  It is past time for the decision-makers in our society to heed this mountain of information and end the cancelations, mandates, shutdowns, and lockdowns.
