By Ryan Grim (abbreviated by henrymakow.com) The Federal Reserve, through its extensive network of consultants, visiting scholars, alumni and staff economists, so thoroughly dominates the field of economics that real criticism of the central bank has become a career liability for members of the profession, an investigation by the Huffington Posthas found. (Our leaders, media, scientists and doctors: Bought-and-paid for by Bill Gates who is a proxy for Big Pharma & the Fed.) This dominance helps explain how, even after the Fed failed to foresee the greatest economic collapse since the Great Depression, the central bank has largely escaped criticism from academic economists. In the Fed’s thrall, the economists missed it, too. “The Fed has a lock on the economics world,” says Joshua Rosner, a Wall Street analyst who correctly called the meltdown. “There is no room for other views, which I guess is why economists got it so wrong.”
One critical way the Fed exerts control on academic economists is through its relationships with the field’s gatekeepers. For instance, at the Journal of Monetary Economics, a must-publish venue for rising economists, more than half of the editorial board members are currently on the Fed payroll — and the rest have been in the past.
The Fed failed to see the housing bubble as it happened, insisting that the rise in housing prices was normal. In 2004, after “flipping” had become a term cops and janitors were using to describe the way to get rich in real estate, then-Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said that “a national severe price distortion [is] most unlikely.” A year later, current Chairman Ben Bernanke said that the boom “largely reflect strong economic fundamentals.” … So who seduced them? The Fed did it.
THREE DECADES OF DOMINATION The Fed has been dominating the profession for about three decades… By 1993, when former Fed Chairman Greenspan provided the House banking committee with a breakdown of the number of economists on contract or employed by the Fed, he reported that 189 worked for the board itself and another 171 for the various regional banks. Adding in statisticians, support staff and “officers” — who are generally also economists — the total number came to 730. And then there were the contracts. Over a three-year period ending in October 1994, the Fed awarded 305 contracts to 209 professors worth a total of $3 million. Just how dominant is the Fed today? The Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors employs 220 PhD economists and a host of researchers and support staff, according to a Fed spokeswoman. The 12 regional banks employ scores more. (HuffPost placed calls to them but was unable to get exact numbers.) The Fed also doles out millions of dollars in contracts to economists for consulting assignments, papers, presentations, workshops, and that plum gig known as a “visiting scholarship.” A Fed spokeswoman says that exact figures for the number of economists contracted with weren’t available. But, she says, the Federal Reserve spent $389.2 million in 2008 on “monetary and economic policy,” money spent on analysis, research, data gathering, and studies on market structure; $433 million is budgeted for 2009. That’s a lot of money for a relatively small number of economists. According to the American Economic Association, a total of only 487 economists list “monetary policy, central banking, and the supply of money and credit,” as either their primary or secondary specialty; 310 list “money and interest rates”; and 244 list “macroeconomic policy formation [and] aspects of public finance and general policy.” Robert Auerbach, a former investigator with the House banking committee, spent years looking into the workings of the Fed and published much of what he found in the 2008 book, “Deception and Abuse at the Fed”. GATEKEEPERS The Fed keeps many of the influential editors of prominent academic journals on its payroll. It is common for a journal editor to review submissions dealing with Fed policy while also taking the bank’s money. A HuffPost review of seven top journals found that 84 of the 190 editorial board members were affiliated with the Federal Reserve in one way or another. “Try to publish an article critical of the Fed with an editor who works for the Fed,” says Galbraith. And the journals, in turn, determine which economists get tenure and what ideas are considered respectable. The pharmaceutical industry has similarly worked to control key medical journals, but that involves several companies. In the field of economics, it’s just the Fed. Being on the Fed payroll isn’t just about the money, either. A relationship with the Fed carries prestige; invitations to Fed conferences and offers of visiting scholarships with the bank signal a rising star or an economist who has arrived. It was fast and it was simple. It took place in three steps. Flexner traveled all over the country and made a very scholarly analysis of how bad the level of medical education was in America and he was right. He didn’t distort it. To my knowledge he didn’t distort (any of it). He didn’t have to. There were diploma mills. There were a few good schools. But, there were a lot of mediocre schools and there were a lot of bad schools. And people could get a medical degree just by paying enough money and so Flexner brought all of this together in the Flexner Report. It was published by the foundation as a public service and everybody was very much concerned. Something had to be done. You see now, the problem was crystallized with foundation money. The next step was to solve the problems. Rockefeller and Carnegie then provided the money to solve the problem. They offered tax-free grants. Tremendous infusions of millions and millions of dollars to those selected medical schools that were cooperative and that were willing to go along with the recommendations made by Rockefeller and Carnegie. The ones who weren’t willing to submit themselves to the influence of the money didn’t get any, and they fell by the wayside. The ones who did go along got this money and were able to build big buildings to attract qualified teachers. They were able to get the necessary equipment, and they became the large medical schools in America today, through Rockefeller and Carnegie money. Now, there is an old saying that “he who pays the piper calls the tune.” And that is exactly what happened. Gates and Flexner, and those whom they appointed, became Board members and consultants for all of these schools. And you can be sure, ladies and gentlemen, that if you are on the Board of Trustees of the school and you are struggling for money and somebody comes to you and says here is 10 million dollars and then they say, however, or by the way, we would suggest that the next time you look for a president we suggest that you look at Mr. Smith, he’s a fine, reputable man. You will listen very carefully when they make that suggestion and Mr. Smith becomes the next president. Mr. Smith listens very carefully when Mr. Gates, Mr. Rockefeller, or Mr. Carnegie say, “now, Mr. Smith, you need people on your teaching staff with these qualifications, and we suggest that you look at Dr. Jones, Dr. Radcliffe and so forth. Marriage isn’t easy. We’re all married to imperfect people. Our spouse is married to an imperfect person. None of us will be perfect until we receive our glorified bodies after we die. Even if we aren’t in difficult marriages, we must learn to be forgiving and merciful towards our husbands, since they’ll offend us, hurt us, and cause us to be angry at times, just as we do towards them. Not forgiving your spouse leads to bitterness which defiles many (Hebrews 12:15). Bitterness is like a cancerous tumor that grows and grows and poisons the one who is bitter. Learn to forgive easily; for love is not easily offended.

International lawyer John Whitbeck suggests that the billions of dollars that the United States gives to Israel annually is not technically “foreign aid” as the Jewish state is as measured by per capita GDP the 19th wealthiest in the world, ahead of countries like Germany (which also pays Israel tribute). That the United States has surrendered key aspects of its national sovereignty to Israeli control has been observed by many. To protect Israel, President Lyndon B. Johnson and his Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara initiated a cover-up that has persisted until this day. The unavenged killing of large numbers of US servicemen has signaled to a series of Israeli governments since that time that they could do anything to Washington without any consequences, including spying on its benefactor, involving Washington in its own wars, and exploiting the US Treasury as its own resource.
“May her memory be a blessing.” To all who knew Dr. Judith Reisman (1935–2021), or who knew of her untiring labors and her tremendous body of work, this traditional Jewish expression honoring the deceased has true, deep meaning. Like Judith the Biblical heroine, Dr. Reisman was fearless and stood against the great powers of the world in our time. When her countrymen were ready to surrender to the mighty Assyrian army, the Biblical Judith, trusting in God, walked into the enemy camp — and walked out with the head of Holofernes, the Assyrian general, thus saving her people. Likewise, Judith Reisman repeatedly, over the past several decades, strode into many hostile enemy camps around the world — colleges, universities, legislative bodies, media outlets — to speak truth to power and to expose vile works of darkness.
A Champion for Our Time
Dr. Reisman’s passing on April 9 came as a shock to all, including this writer, who has considered Judith a dear friend and colleague for decades. We had attempted a Skype video interview in March, but she was experiencing audio technical difficulties, so we had decided to reschedule it for after Easter. I was about to call her for the interview when I learned of her death. What a devastating loss of a great soul, a beautiful human being, and a fierce defender of all that is good, honorable, and decent.
Dr. Reisman is best known for her works exposing the fraudulent, depraved, and criminal work of Dr. Alfred Kinsey, the notorious sex pervert who, with generous funding from the Rockefeller Foundation and lavish praise from the liberal media, became the celebrated “Father of the Sexual Revolution.” Kinsey, we are told in our psychology books and the popular press, freed the world from “sexual oppression” inspired by ignorance and religious superstition. Kinsey invoked “science” to proclaim that homosexuality, adultery, premarital sex, adult-child sex, nudity, indecent exposure, fornication, masturbation, incest, pornography — virtually anything and everything sexual — are “normal,” meaning widely practiced, and therefore good. Kinsey’s 1948 book Sexual Behavior in the Human Male and his 1953 book Sexual Behavior in the Human Female hit the world like twin atom bombs. Kinsey’s “research” seemed to explode all previous notions of moral and permissible behavior as it pertains to sexual relations.
Perversion Masquerading as “Science”
Kinsey’s “science” was used to overthrow the Judeo-Christian moral codes that had protected societies and families for millennia and to usher in the new Age of Aquarius, the era of unrestrained “free love.” Kinsey’s “science” was cited to overthrow laws on obscenity, pornography, and perversion. Kinsey’s “science” was employed to flood our schools with obscene “SexEd” curricula. Kinsey’s “science” declared that children are “sexual beings” from birth and therefore need to be liberated from their parents’ stultifying restrictions on their sexual “freedom.” Thus the pedophile/pederast lobby began a nonstop campaign for continuous lowering of age-of-consent laws, while the education and entertainment establishments began inundating our culture with hypersexualized materials aimed at children.
It was this insidious Kinseyite attack on the innocence of children that aroused the ferocious Mamma Bear instinct in Judith Reisman. Unlike so many others, she was not awed and intimidated by Kinsey’s “science.” She smelled a rat and was determined to smoke it out. And indeed she did. A consummate scholar, she dived into Kinsey’s raw data, and relentlessly pursued him down his labyrinthine trail. Her herculean efforts yielded four explosive books on Kinsey: Kinsey, Sex and Fraud; Sexual Sabotage; Stolen Honor, Stolen Innocence; and Kinsey: Crimes & Consequences.
A Light in the Darkness
What Dr. Reisman discovered was that Kinsey’s “science” was not science at all. In fact, not only had he fraudulently invented much of the data and many of the statistics that have been used to undermine morality and normalize perversion, he had recruited perverts, child molesters, prostitutes, and convicts to produce the “evidence” he would exploit for fame and fortune. One of the most shocking of Judith Reisman’s discoveries was that Kinsey’s “research” involved pedophiles sexually torturing hundreds of boys and girls — some of them infants as young as three months old — and then described their screams of pain as “orgasms,” thus “proving” that these children were “sexual beings”! However, thanks to the constant support of the Rockefeller Foundation and similar globalist institutions, instead of receiving the condemnation and prosecution he deserved, Kinsey was heaped with accolades and financial rewards. His Kinsey Institute at the University of Indiana continues to be showered with foundation and taxpayer funds.
Yet, thanks to Judith’s unswerving perseverance, a veritable army of informed activists worldwide have taken up her research and have been pushing back against the Kinsey onslaught. In addition to her books, she produced a profusion of articles, research papers, and videos (most of which are available on her website, drjudithreisman.com).
Scholarly Truth Crusader
Reisman received her Ph.D. in communications from Case Western Reserve University and had a long career in academic institutions, including positions as associate professor at the University of Haifa (Israel), research full professor at American University, and a member of the adjunct faculty of George Mason University. In addition, she lectured at Princeton, Notre Dame, Georgetown, and Pepperdine Universities, the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and the United States Air Force Academy, among others. She has been an expert witness in many court, military, and civic hearings concerning pornography, homosexuality, sexual harassment, and media issues. Her works have been referenced in many lower court cases and the U.S. Supreme Court cases Oakes v. Massachusetts (1989) and Osborne v. Ohio (1989).
Her works have been regularly featured at World Net Daily and in Salvo magazine, and she has appeared on numerous radio and television programs. Dr. Reisman traveled extensively to speak at conferences and to testify against the global Kinseyite subversion agenda, including efforts in the Netherlands, the Philippines, South Africa, Jamaica, and Croatia. In 1994, Hugh Hefner’s Playboy porn empire brought a lawsuit in the Netherlands against Dutch TV broadcaster EO to demand the retraction of statements by Reisman in one of their broadcasts. On air, she had essentially accused Playboy of producing child pornography, based on the study of three decades of its publications. She had conducted the study under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Playboy ultimately lost the lawsuit, with the judge referring to Reisman’s research as “the uncontested factual findings of Dr. Reisman.” Following her victorious ruling, Reisman said, “Playboy never will sue me in the USA, since their deliberate child sex abuse methodology would be proven in a court of law.”
Encomia From Kindred Spirits
Judith Reisman died on April 9, two days before her 86th birthday. In a eulogy entitled “Farewell to the World’s Greatest Friend of Children,” author/educator Charlotte Iserbyt, Judith’s longtime friend and ally, wrote, “In my humble opinion, God Almighty sent Judith to save our children. Yes, Judith’s work was, day in and day out, dedicated to saving not just our, but the world’s, children.”
“This is a sad and very tragic loss,” Mrs. Iserbyt told me. “There’s no one like her that I know of to replace her. But, thankfully, she has left us such a tremendous treasure of superb work and has inspired so many people that I am sure her work will continue on many fronts by individuals and groups of which we are completely unaware.”
Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), was another friend who was crushed to learn of Judith’s death. “As one who was privileged to call her a friend, I will greatly miss Judith,” he said:
She is a national hero — one of those unrecognized by the corrupt leftist media. She was brilliant, funny and courageous. Her tenacious research and writing ‘rewrote the script’ on influential post-war “sexologist” Alfred Kinsey, who was actually a monster (and a troubled perv himself), who included child-molestation “research” and much shoddy data in his groundbreaking, psuedo-scientific book on Americans’ alleged sexual practices. Of course, the media ignored this sickening fact and feted Kinsey, but Judith never relented in telling “the rest of the story,” to quote Paul Harvey. Had Judith been writing in 1948, Kinsey, and later his acolyte, pornographer Hugh Hefner, would have faced much greater scrutiny from the public. Condolences to Judith’s family.
Dr. Scott Lively, an attorney, pastor, author, and founder of Scott Lively Ministries, told me that Dr. Reisman’s impact on him has been profound and life-changing. Dr. Lively, who had been an alcoholic and drug addict before his Christian conversion, told me Judith’s Kinsey, Sex and Fraud was probably the most impactful book on him, after the Bible, and caused him to join her in the fight against the forces of depravity that are dissolving the Christian foundations of our society. “No one else has done as much as she has for the pro-family movement, and no one has done as much to expose the darkness and to inform and motivate good people to get off the couch and out of the pews to oppose the evil that is engulfing us,” he said. “God bless her. We will miss her, more than we know.”
I was privileged to work alongside Judith Reisman and Scott Lively on pro-life and pro-family projects when all three of us lived in Sacramento, California, in the 1980s. It was the beginning of a lifelong friendship and frequent collaboration. Dr. Reisman and I both have large personal research libraries and enjoyed sharing our findings and resources. Judith wrote articles for The New American, and we interviewed her and reviewed her books.
Despite the unspeakable evil she confronted in her research on a daily basis, and in the face of constant detraction and defamation by her rich and powerful enemies, Judith remains firmly fixed in my memory as an ever cheerful, charming, spunky Jewish grandmother. Her warmth, humor, and lovely smile, coupled with her iron determination and uncompromising spirit, made her a joy to be around. Her life and her life’s work are a living legacy to us all.

Personal note: I am so very grateful to Dr. Reisman for exposing the diabolical and degenerate roots of the filth and temptation that so many innocent children were exposed to and are being exposed to now. When I first read her book, “Sexual Sabotage” nearly eight years ago, it opened my eyes to the devilish forces at work that every child is exposed to. May she Rest In Peace, and May God comfort and keep family and friends at the loss of a life so beloved and courageous.
California public response was greatly opposed to the critical race theory mandate, but the far left ideologues running the educational system ignored the public, proving once again that government policy is divorced from the people’s wishes.
In many states, especially blue ones, critical race theory, if not a state mandate, is mandated by many local school systems. Whites are everywhere being turned against themselves.
White Americans are too insouciant to know what is happening to them. Anti-white ideologues have control of school systems, universities, Hollywood, social media, print and TV media, corporations, book publishing, and the US military and are using these powerful institutions to demonize white Americans even more completely than Jews were demonized in the Third Reich. White Americans are being moved aside out of power positions, out of the 1st and 14th Amendmens, and out of self- confidence. They have sat sucking their thumbs while a handful of far left ideologues stole their country.
An interesting recent article by international lawyer John Whitbeck suggests that the billions of dollars that the United States gives to Israel annually is not technically “foreign aid” as the Jewish state is as measured by per capita GDP the 19thwealthiest in the world, ahead of countries like Germany. It is, instead “tribute,” which is defined as the “payment made periodically by one state or ruler to another, especially as a sign of dependence.”
That the United States has surrendered key aspects of its national sovereignty to Israeli control has been observed by many. Whitbeck dates the submission to the events surrounding the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty in June 1967, which 34 crewmen died and 172 were injured in an attempt to sink the ship and kill all the crew. To protect Israel, President Lyndon B. Johnson and his Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara initiated a cover-up that has persisted until this day. The unavenged killing of large numbers of US servicemen has signaled to a series of Israeli governments since that time that they could do anything to Washington without any consequences, including spying on its benefactor, involving Washington in its own wars, and exploiting the US Treasury as its own resource.
The United States has favored Israel above all other nations while a series of Republican and Democratic administrations have accepted that the US is the junior partner in the relationship virtually without demur, culminating in the unprecedented Barack Obama arrangement whereby Israel would receive $38 billion over the course of ten years, automatically and with no conditions placed on the Jewish state’s actions vis-à-vis American regional interests. And now, with the bloodletting continuing unabated in Gaza, Honest Joe Biden has agreed to “sell” the Israelis $735 million worth of new weapons to replenish their arsenal.
Whitbeck’s analysis is convincing, but one might also see a more personal element in how Israel has achieved dominance. Any American politician who seeks to object to the “most favored nation” status of Israel is likely to get unelected the next time he or she has to run for office. The list of the fallen includes Senators Chuck Percy and William Fulbright as well as congressmen Paul Findley, Pete McCloskey, Cynthia McKinney and James Traficant. The key to defeating incumbents in electoral office was and is money and the power and access that it buys. Israel and its supporting cast of 600 pro-Zionist Jewish organizations have billions of dollars to play with and they also include in their ranks co-religionists and other bought sympathizers who control the editorial and news content of America’s printed, television and radio media. Those congressmen who make a show of strongly supporting Israel are rewarded with campaign donations, a friendly media and a virtual lock on reelection. Those who do not are “disappeared.”
The last president who successfully made Israel back down was Dwight D. Eisenhower, who compelled Israel, France and Britain to cease their attempt to seize the Suez Canal from Egypt in 1956. George H. W. Bush was the most recent president to try to pressure Israel, when he refused to guarantee loans that Israel intended to use to expand its illegal settlements, a move which Bush correctly perceived as being bad for US relations through the region. The media subsequently piled on Bush when he ran for a second term, discovering that there was something “wrong” with the economy, which was not true. That and other contrived stories led to Bush’s loss to safely Zionist Bill Clinton. Bush’s son George W. learned the lesson from his father’s loss, even failing to investigate the possible Israeli role in 9/11 so as not to irritate his masters in Tel Aviv. W also acquired along the way a throng of neocon Jewish advisers at the Pentagon and National Security Council who were the architects of the disastrous Iraq War and the Global War on Terror (GWOT) which still plagues us to this day.
Israel’s power to control developments in the United States has recently been manifest in its ability to influence government decision making even down to the state and local level. An increasing number of public schools now have mandatory holocaust education, which, in Wisconsin for example, includes both grade school and high school levels and also applies to private schools. Also, thirty-three states now have laws punishing citizens who promote or participate in boycotts of Israeli products, the non-violent so-called Boycott Divestment and Sanction (BDS) option. Many states have special trade agreements with Israel that are designed to benefit the import of products and services from the Jewish state without mandating any reciprocity while the federal government likewise allows Israel to bid on contracts, including those relating to defense, intelligence and national security.
The Israelis take advantage of their easy access to US infrastructure by spying on both the American government and on private organizations that it considers to be unfriendly. Last year a number of electronic intrusion devices were discovered near federal buildings in Washington. They were planted by the Israelis but nothing was ever done about it. One also recalls how Israeli snoopers were recording White House phone calls under Bill Clinton, some of which were conversations with Monica Lewinsky, at the time potential blackmail material.
Another part of the Zionist game plan is the aggressive use of the anti-Semitism label to silence critics as well as the exploitation of the so-called holocaust with its assertion of perpetual victimhood of the Jewish people to create eternal sympathy for Israel. Of course, it helps to have a media willing to support such nonsense rather than expose it for what it is, but that is what having gross overrepresentation of Zionists as media owners and editors is all about.
All of which brings us to the present, in which an Israeli terror campaign against the Palestinians which has included removing families from their homes and marches through the remaining Arab parts of Jerusalem by angry mobs of armed settlers chanting “death to Arabs” while also calling for “burning” and “hanging” the local residents. The Palestinians have finally had enough and are fighting back and the Israeli armed forces have characteristically responded by attacking targets including apartment buildings in Gaza, killing numerous children.
And a bit of context is necessary. Israel has for many years denied the Palestinians basic human rights while also stealing their homes, land and water. Houses and even villages have been demolished and an estimated millions of productive olive trees burned or destroyed. Palestinians are not free to travel in the West Bank, are arrested and held in prison for no reason, including children, and are shot with no consequences for the Israeli army or police shooter.
US media attempts to portray the violence taking place currently as some kind of even-handed struggle, which it is not. Israel has had control of the historic Palestine for more than fifty years. It has the most powerful military in the Middle East and the Palestinians are basically unarmed, hitting Israel with “rockets” that are largely home-made and ineffective as demonstrated by the disparity in the casualty count. Human Rights Watch, which has been timid about how it treats Israel, has finally reported with stacks of evidence how Israel is an apartheid state that commits numerous human rights violations and occasional war crimes, just as it is doing right now. The intention of all this is to make the life of Palestinians so miserable that they all leave. Israel would prefer not to have to do the job by killing all of them, a route nevertheless endorsed by a number of leading Israeli politicians, but would much prefer that they go voluntarily.
The fact is that the United States enables Israeli behavior by cravenly heedingNetanyahu’s warning not to interfere. It has already blocked several resolutions in the United Nations Security Council to stop the fighting because they are too critical of Israel. The fact that Washington, like a broken record, continues to voice support of Israel the perpetual victim even when it is clearly the aggressor is shameful. If you want to know just what kind of country we Americans now live in, Jen Psaki, White House press spokesperson has provided the answer. She has announced that our government’s position on the ongoing violence in the Middle East is that “The president’s support for Israel’s security, for its legitimate right to defend itself and its people, is fundamental and will never waiver. We condemn ongoing rocket attacks by Hamas and other terrorist groups against Jerusalem.”
Excuse me, but even some minimal compassion for dead Arab children seems to be missing in Biden’s statement, though its ruthlessness inevitably is exceeded by Donald Trump’s bleat “When I was in office we were known as the Peace Presidency, because Israel’s adversaries knew that the United States stood strongly with Israel and there would be swift retribution if Israel was attacked. Under Biden, the world is getting more violent and more unstable because Biden’s weakness and lack of support for Israel is leading to new attacks on our allies. America must always stand with Israel and make clear that the Palestinians must end the violence, terror, and rocket attacks, and make clear that the U.S. will always strongly support Israel’s right to defend itself.”
Donald Trump’s “peace presidency?” Does he include his attacks on Syria and his assassination of a senior Iranian official? Another wannabe with GOP presidential aspirations Florida’s Ron DeSantis, self-designated as “Israel’s governor,” puts it another way, “Hamas is a terrorist organization and Israel has the right to defend itself against terrorist attacks.” Is this a Monty Python sketch? Israel was attacked and is defending itself? Time to wake up America. Israel the victim is preparing a genocide and the fact that no one is Washington is willing to say “no” gives it a green light to go ahead. The blood will be on our hands this time around as Joe Biden and company could have made the decision to stop the developing madness over the past month by putting pressure on Israel to stop the home expulsions and riots by settlers, but clearly that did not and will not happen. And when it all blows up and maybe tens of thousands will die, we will likely hear the same noise coming out of Washington: “Israel has a right to defend itself.”
To conclude with another comment by John Whitbeck relating to his desire to see the United States reclaim its sovereignty would be appropriate. He writes “For many years, I have had a recurring but thus far unrequited dream: Someday, during a Senate confirmation hearing, a nominee will respond to demands to… pledge allegiance to [Israel] with a simple affirmation of pure and genuine patriotism: ‘Senator, with all due respect, I owe my allegiance to the United States of America and to no other country. If you have a problem with that, don’t vote to confirm me.’”

One potential positive from the whole Covid-19 debacle is that we have learned an incredible amount about the society in which we live. This will be crucial if we manage to stave off a descent into a nightmare future of techno-fascist slavery.
We will have a new understanding of what our world has become and what we would like it to be in the decades and centuries to come. And “we” means we. While the majority have, apparently, learnt nothing at all from what has happened, they will eventually catch up.
There is no way that knowledge gained by a wide-awake 15% or 20% of the population will not end up being shared by almost everyone. Once the truth is out, it tends to stay out. As H.R. Haldeman so wisely put it, “you can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube”.
Here Are Ten Things We Have Learned During The Covid Coup:
1. Our political system is hopelessly corrupt. Virtually all politicians are hopelessly corrupt. No political party can be trusted. They all can be, and have been, bought.
2. Democracy is a sham. It has been a sham for a very long time. There will never be any real democracy when money and power amount to the same thing.
3. The system will stop at nothing to hold on to its power and, if possible, increase its levels of control and exploitation. It has no scruples. No lie is too outrageous, no hypocrisy too nauseating, no human sacrifice too great.
4. So-called radical movements are usually nothing of the sort. From whatever direction they claim to attack the system, they are just pretending to do so, and serve to channel discontent in directions which are harmless to the power clique and even useful to its agendas.
5. Any “dissident” voice you have ever heard of through corporate media is probably a fake. The system does not hand out free publicity to its actual enemies.
6. Most people in our society are cowards. They will jettison all the fine values and principles which they have been loudly boasting about all their lives merely to avoid the slightest chance of public criticism, inconvenience or even minor financial loss.
8. Police are not servants of the public but servants of a powerful and extremely wealthy minority which seeks to control and exploit the public for its own narrow and greedy interests.
9. Scientists cannot be trusted.They will use the hypnotic power of their white coats and authoritative status for the benefit of whoever funds their work and lifestyle. He who pays the piper calls the tune.
10. Progress is a misleading illusion. The “progress” of increasing automisation and industrialisation does not go hand in hand with a progress in the quality of human life, but in fact will “progressively” reduce it to the point of complete extinction.

How are you going to wash your face or take a shower when the water has stopped running through your pipes months ago? You might have started to stink by now. A lot. What are you going to do when the electrical grid is a fading memory, and 5G becomes radioactive? When you can’t use your cell phone to call anyone but Ghostbusters? Where are you going to throw out your garbage because the sanitation department hasn’t picked it up in four months and you finally just ran out of trash bags? What are you going to wipe your ass with when you used up the very last issue of the Washington Post, since you ran out of toilet paper several seasons ago?
Tell me what happens when your neighbors break into your home at gunpoint to steal that last can of Campbell’s soup you have been hoarding under your bed for the last six months? Are you prepared to fend off roaming gangs of Walking Dead Quackccinated Maniacs who have succeeded in cannibalizing your neighbors’ children after raping them?
