This is a letter from this Gab account that was sent to all members of the Sacramento City Council. I want to thank this member and all members who defend the First Amendment. If we all don’t defend that, we all will lose our First Amendment rights.

“I am writing concerning the free speech of Mr. Ryan Messano, who has been imprisoned now twice for exercising his free speech rights.
This is outrageous and anti-American. As city council members elected to represent citizens whom you work for, you have no right to impose imprisonment for expressing opinion or facts, as Mr. Messano has been doing. You are engaging in communist strategies on American soil. You may call it “anti-Semitic” or anything you like; it is still free speech. I’ve seen nothing but free and courteous expressions coming from Ryan’s mouth, no name-calling, no profanity, just simple facts. The 1st Amendment is about disagreement, as it wouldn’t exist if everyone agreed.
I must say, honestly, I’ve never been “anti-Semitic” in my life. But the constant use of the term 24/7/365, and it is used to imprison and persecute fellow Americans, is making me anti-Semitic. I am anti-communist, as an American, and am therefore against anyone or anything that would undermine our freedoms. I hope you realize this kind of story goes nationwide. I am currently in Washington state. I am Christian, yet I don’t run around imprisoning those who don’t believe Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. I think it is everyone’s right to be anti-Christ. I would never impose laws for expressing such views or imprison those who are anti-Christ, despite the millions upon millions of Christians that have been killed due to their beliefs alone, Holodomor included. I don’t constantly guilt everyone for this 24/7/365, though it is a stark reality that Christians are being murdered TODAY, in droves, for their beliefs. And that will always be the case.
So my request is, please stop with the anti-Semitic rhetoric. It is very tired and trite at this point, and a lot of Americans are growing quite tired of the rhetoric. We are a free-speaking country. I suggest engaging in intelligent dialog and debate concerning his comments rather than imprisoning him for expressing his views. Honestly, it makes you look very pathetic and weak, which I know is blunt, but that is the truth. It is counter to your cause, and I am pretty sure I’m not alone in these views. “
