“It is good for a man not to touch a woman” (1 Corinthians 7:1). God created us. He knows that touching members of the opposite sex gets the motors running. It’s good for young couples to have strict boundaries in place before marriage in order to stay sexually pure.
“Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband” (1 Corinthians 7:2). Marriage is God’s design to prevent fornication. If a young couple wants to marry and remain pure, they should get married. They don’t need all of their ducks in order. This isn’t important to God. Their sexually purity is important to Him. He designed marriage and called it good.
“Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband” (1 Corinthians 7:3). What does benevolence mean? “The disposition to do good; good will; kindness; charitableness; the love of mankind, accompanied with a desire to promote their happiness.” Do you want to do your husband good? Do you have good will towards him? Do you show him kindness? Do you want to be charitable towards him? Do you love him? Do you desire to promote his happiness? If you answer “yes” to all of these, which you should since you are his wife and commanded to love him, then don’t deny him sexually. If you do deny him, you are being a cruel wife and tearing your marriage apart.
“The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife” (1 Corinthians 7:4). Your body is not your own when you marry, women. Your body becomes your husband’s. This is not a popular teaching in today’s self-centered culture, but it’s biblical, therefore, it is good. Do you trust God? Then believe and obey Him.
“Defraud ye not one the other except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer: and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your continency” (1 Corinthians 7:5). What does defraud mean? “To withhold wrongfully from another what is due him.” When you withhold sex from your husband, you are withholding wrongfully what is due him. You are sinning against your husband and against God. Yes, there will be times when you can’t be sexually intimate with him (after childbirth or illness), but if he knows you have good will towards him and want to make him happy, he will fully understand and accept these times willingly. You can’t deprive him because you don’t feel like it. When you are doing this, you are choosing to be led by your emotions and feelings rather than by truth and obeying God.
Be godly wives, women. Your marriage will flourish in this way, and God promises that you will reap what you sow. Sow good will and charitableness towards your husband. You will reap beautiful fruit and store treasures in heaven as you do this.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

HANNAH WAS A HERETIC
The book you see in this picture is mine. I have had it for many years. It was written in 1870. It is going in the trash. I loved reading the book many years ago. Hannah has many great things to say and most seemed to be biblical. Of course, I wasn’t nearly as mature in my faith back when I read it as I am today, but someone once told me that she had left the faith in her older age.
I found this article about her life recently. Her and her husband were evangelists. It turns out that her husband was a serial adulterer and later abandoned the faith, and her three children all rejected the Christian faith too. “Hannah W. Smith was laden down with heresies, rejecting the Bible as the sole authority of faith and practice, the Trinity, and the blood atonement, and renouncing the doctrine of eternal judgment, believing that all men would be saved. She taught religious pluralism, saying that ‘a good Creator can be got at through all sorts of religious beliefs and all sorts of religious ceremonies, and that it does not matter what they are.’
“She despised the doctrine of the husband’s headship. As an early feminist she said, ‘I know nothing more absolutely unjust in itself nor more productive of misery to the woman than the assumption of the place of authority on the part of men. It reduces women at once in principle to the position of slaves.’
“When she was criticized for preaching to men, she sought an inner revelation rather than turning to the Bible. She says, ‘He … gave me such A STRONG FEELING that it was His mind, that now, whatever is said against it, it makes no difference.’
“Hannah Whitall Smith was a mystic who was not content to walk by the light of the literal teaching of Scripture. She represents the majority of professing Christians in these end times who have some authority above and beyond the Bible (though many will not admit it).

The proliferation of female preachers we are witnessing in our nation comes from the same place of Hannah. She didn’t believe Scripture was sufficient. CAN A WIFE DENY HER HUSBAND SEXUALLY IF HE WATCHES PORN?
Recently, I wrote this tweet: “Can a wife deny her husband sexually if he watches porn? No. Wives may win disobedient husbands by living in subjection to them with godly behavior. He’s responsible for his porn addiction. A wife is responsible for denying him sex. Both are sinful. Obey God even when it’s hard.” I then shared in on Instagram and received hundreds of comment. This tweet actually caused a firestorm of reaction from many women.
Many women falsely believe that if their husband watches porn, this is grounds for divorce since their husbands are committing adultery in the heart, as Jesus said about lust in Matthew 5:27,28. “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” The next two verses say this: “And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out…And if thy right hand offend thee, cut if off…” So, if we were to take Jesus seriously, none of us would have eyes or hands, right?
Jesus came to earth to fulfill the Law, then be a sacrifice for our sins. While He was on earth, He was living under the Law, and He even more narrowly defined the Law as in lust becoming adultery in the heart and if you sin, pluck out your eyes and cut off your hand in order to let everyone know that they are sinners in need of a Savior.
Yes, watching porn is sin. It’s destructive and extremely harmful to those who watch it. It exploits women and children. It has caused sex trafficking to explode. It causes men to lose their masculinity and even turns some into sodomites. I hate porn! BUT it is not a reason to divorce a husband. Yes, it’s lust. Yes, it’s committing adultery in the heart, but committing adultery in the heart is different than committing it in the flesh. ALL men have lusted at one time or another. Many women have too. This doesn’t give their spouses the right to divorce them.
TheJoyFilledWife is married to a man who was deeply entrenched in porn. He didn’t even want to have sex with her, and she’s a beautiful, godly, and submissive wife. She won her husband! She had no desire to divorce her husband. She loved him! She was willing to fight for her marriage even though it required patience and suffering. This is what God asks of us! “Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear” (1 Peter 3:1,2).
Some women asked me what to do if a husband is looking at child porn. Call the authorities! This is against the law and hopefully always will be. What if his porn addiction leads to adultery in the flesh? Then, it’s the wife’s choice to either continue fighting for her marriage or not. I have known women who have won their husbands back after affairs.
What if his porn addiction leads to physical abuse? Then, call the authorities! But the majority of husbands watching porn aren’t watching child porn nor physically abusing their wives or children. This is who this post is for. Your marriage is worth fighting for. Your children will be deeply scared from divorce. This is why God hates divorce. You must remind yourself that this is a spiritual battle being waged in the heavenlies. Put on your full armor of the Lord daily and walk in the Spirit. The Lord will be your defender and your strength through this battle. Be in His Word daily. Renew your mind with Truth. The battle is the Lord’s. Trust Him.

SEED OILS TAKE A BATH IN PETROLEUM
When I was growing up, we were told seed oils like canola, safflower, and sunflower oils were far healthier than olive oil and butter. I guess few decided to research how they were made. It was just something most of us believed. Seed oils are terrible for our health. Here is the process of how they are made:
First, seeds are gathered from the soy, corn, cotton, safflower, and rapeseed plants.
Next, the seeds are heated to extremely high temperatures; this causes the unsaturated fatty acids in the seeds to oxidize, creating byproducts that are harmful to human and animal health.
The seeds are then processed with a petroleum-based solvent, such as hexane, to maximize the amount of oil extracted from them.
Next, industrial seed oil manufacturers use chemicals to deodorize the oils, which have a very off-putting smell once extracted. The deodorization process produces trans fats, which are well known to be quite harmful to human health.
Finally, more chemicals are added to improve the color of the industrial seed oils.
“This process uses bleach, lye, and hexane to transform an inedible product into a low-grade toxin that may not kill you immediately, but which causes long-term health problems. Soybean oil and all other seed oils must be processed in the same industrial manner because of the tiny amount of oil encapsulated in each tough little seed. Only a factory method using volatile chemicals is able to extract enough of that oil to make it lucrative for the extractor.
“Before seed oils came onto the scene, heart attacks were unheard of: cardiologists in the early 20th century never saw them, and any sudden heart failure leading to death was due to a congenital defect. Cancer was rare and so was obesity. Then the captains of industry found out that they could dump their waste onto the food supply through the magic of industrial chemistry—similar to how they dumped fluoride in the water supply—by offering payola to medical associations for a stamp of approval. There was a video made 10 years ago showing us how seed oils were made, and the video was supposed to teach us how healthy seed oils are for us! This video shows that the seeds take a 70 minute bath in Hexane which is made from petroleum. Seed oils are extremely inflammatory in the human body. They aren’t food, and they aren’t for human consumption.
Did you know that seed oils are in almost everything? Most chips, cereals, cookies, salad dressings, and everything else are filled with seed oils. Most people are eating a lot of healthy destroying seed oils every day. The healthy fats are butter, tallow, ghee, coconut oil, avocado oil, and olive oil. The bad fats are canola, soybean, sunflower, corn, safflower, grapeseed, margarine, cottonseed, and peanut oil. Begin replacing all of the food you eat with food that has healthy fats in it. I have a great salad dressing recipe with healthy fats, and here are two recipes for mayonnaise! It’s one of the best things you can do to improve the health of your family.
