Amazon donated hundreds of copies of a book by critical race theorist Ibram X. Kendi to an Arlington, Virginia, high school, and paid the book’s co-author to address the students and teachers, according to recently uncovered emails between the company and school district officials.
The emails, obtained by watchdog group Parents Defending Education (PDE) via public records requests, show a public relations manager at Amazon Logistics in February reached out to Arlington Public Schools (APS), offering to make donations as part of the company’s “Black History Month” initiative aimed to promote products of black-owned businesses and works of black authors.
The Amazon official noted in his emails that the school could choose from Kindle tablets, laptops, school supplies, robotics equipment, and possibly wireless hot spots for remote learning. In response, an APS diversity official specifically asked for a “minimum” of 550 copies of Kendi’s 2020 book “Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You,” as well as copies of a study guide to “really make this investment impactful.”
A professor at Boston University and vocal proponent of Critical Race Theory, Kendi is best known for advocating the concept of “antiracism.” The idea is that there is no such thing as being non-racist or race-neutral, and that one can only be “antiracist” by actively identifying and confronting perceived racism all the time, in everything, because in a critical race worldview, it’s impossible for racism to be absent from any situation.
“Stamped,” according to its description on the Amazon website, examines how “racist ideas were created, spread, and deeply rooted” in American society. “Racist thought is not just alive and well in America,” it argues. “It is more sophisticated and more insidious than ever.”
In addition to the books, the APS asked Amazon to help secure a virtual talk by either Kendi or Jason Reynolds, the co-author of “Stamped,” to teachers and students of Wakefield High School, because it serves “around 500 out of 800 African American high school students district wide.”
Reynolds ended up addressing Wakefield students and faculty virtually for 30 minutes and took questions for 15 minutes and was paid $8,000, or $177 per minute, the PDE says.MOST READ
“Instead of donating Kindles and hot spots to students in Arlington Public Schools, Amazon chose to spread the controversial ideology of Critical Race Theory,” PDE vice president Asra Nomani said in a statement. “The shortsighted decisions during a pandemic, with so many students vulnerable, reflect the national crisis of school districts circumventing parents to indoctrinate students—in this case, with the help of corporate America.”
Neither Amazon nor the APS has immediately responded to requests for comments on the matter.
At least that’s the impression one gets by observing the behavior of the two Wall Street “black” giants, BlackRock and Blackstone. As a reminder, the WSJ sparked widespread outrage recently when it exposed what most industry insiders had known for a long time, namely that BlackRock (and other institutional investors) have been ravenously gobbling up US real estate. Now it’s BlackStone’s turn.
Home Partners owns more than 17,000 houses in the United States; the company buys, rents out and eventually offers its tenants a chance to buy them. Now all those functions will be done by the largest US private equity firm.
Single-family rentals have been a favorite institutional bet over the past year, as real estate investors have sought new places to invest during a pandemic that kept Americans away from offices, hotels and malls.
The result, as the WSJ reported, has been a frenzy among 200 companies and investment firms who have entered the house hunt: computer-assisted flipper Opendoor Technologies, money managers including J.P. Morgan and BlackRock, platforms such as Fundrise and Roofstock that buy and arrange for the management of rentals on behalf of individuals and builder LGI Homes Inc., which now reports wholesale home sales to bulk buyers in its quarterly results.
At the same time, remote work and school created strong demand for suburban homes by buyers and renters alike, pushing prices up and inventory down.
“Clearly the tenant demand is still robust, and that’s driving significant cash flow increases at the property level,” said Jeff Langbaum, an analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence. “Smart people with smart money want to get a piece of that.”
Not so smart people with dumb money also want a piece of that.
Unlike BlackRock which is a relatively recent entrant into the US housing market, Blackstone – which built Invitation Homes – into the largest single-family landlord following the U.S. foreclosure crisis, has rekindled its interest.
Last August, it led a group of investors that acquired a minority stake in Toronto-based Tricon Residential Inc., which owns and operates more than 31,000 homes and apartments.
As Bloomberg notes, there may also be a case of sellers regret. The company exited its stake in Invitation Homes in 2019, selling the last of its position at $30.10 per share.
Blackstone made about $7 billion on its stake in Invitation, more than doubling its money, Bloomberg reported at the time. But shares in the company have increased by 25% since then.
So now it’s time for Blackstone to easily double its money again, once again courtesy of the Fed’s ultra easy money which grants the likes of Blackstone virtually unlimited funds, even as most Americans struggle to pay off their 20% APR credit cards.
The flood of investor capital comes as low inventory pushes prices higher at the fastest pace ever, and tenants opt for rental houses over apartments.
Moments ago, the NAR reported that the median existing home sale price hit a record $350,000, up 24% in the past year.
…. while sales of houses in the $1 million price range are up 245%.
Invitation Homes posted an occupancy rate of more than 98% in the first quarter, allowing the industry giant to increase rents on new leases at a record rate.
Rising rents and low inventory have also made single-family landlords a target across the political spectrum.
Recently, book author J.D. Vance started a firestorm on Twitter by arguing that Wall Street investors were making it hard for regular Americans to buy homes… and spoiler alert: he’s right – although it’s hardly new, and is something we have been saying since 2013 when we first profiled Wall Street as America’s New Landlord:
In 2019, Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren blasted Blackstone for “shamelessly” profiting from the U.S. foreclosure crisis, arguing that Wall Street’s investment in single-family homes was a “huge loss for America’s renters.”
Every single time I write on women being keepers at home, I am asked the question, “What if my husband wants me to work outside of the home?” God has made it clear that He wants women to be “keepers at home” so they don’t blaspheme His word. “To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed” (Titus 2:5). He commands younger women to “marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully” (1 Timothy 5:14).

Then here’s a verse about barren women. “He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children” (113:9). The Proverbs 31 woman was “known for looking well to the ways of her household.” She was NOT a career woman. This is a modern day fable in order to support feminism and its goals. All of the Proverbs 31 woman’s work revolved in and around the home. There were no factories, hospitals, daycares, or office buildings back then.
God has commanded that men be the providers. “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel” (1 Timothy 5:8). A man who doesn’t provide for his family is worse than an unbeliever! Right after the Fall, God’s curse to Adam concerned providing. He would toil in the soil all of the days of his life. The woman’s curse revolved around the home. She would have pain in childbirth. God’s will for women and men is very clear. There is order in the home and marriage when roles are clearly defined.
So what about the husband who wants his wife to leave the home and work in the workforce? He is essentially asking her to blaspheme the word of God since God commands that she be a keeper at home. Who is she to obey? She is also called to submit to her husband in everything (Ephesians 5:24). Can a husband’s command supersede God’s commands? I don’t know, but I don’t think so, since when the apostles were told to stop preaching, they kept preaching; for they “ought to obey God rather than man” (Acts 5:29).
One woman on Facebook wrote that her husband makes plenty of money for her to be home to raise her children, but he insists she work for more money. He’s not a believer and if she decided to disobey him, he would probably divorce her. A divorce is worse for children than not having a mother home full time with them, in my opinion. The problem with women choosing to leave their homes for the workforce, however, and men insisting their wives work outside of the home is the lasting damage it does to the children. No one seems to care what’s best for the children anymore.

Does your husband insist you work out of the home and leave your children in the care of others? If so, make a well thought out gentle and kind appeal to him. Have facts to back it up. Read The Way Home by Mary Pride and all of the statistics that prove how much healthier mentally and emotionally it is for children to have their mother home full time with them. Figure out how much you would actually bring home after taxes and all the money wasted, since you won’t be home to live frugally and simply. Explain to him how much harder his life will be without you home to care for him, the children, and home.
Pray before approaching him. If he is wavering and tells you it is your decision, then stay home! If he is adamant and furious that you would even bring it up, you will have to follow the biblical guidelines in 1 Peter 3:1,2 and try to win him without a word with your godly behavior. Go to work, but pray consistently that your husband will change his mind. Ask the Lord for daily strength and wisdom.
Young women, make sure you discuss this before marriage. You want to marry a man who wants YOU to be the one home raising your children. One who knows the value of a mother at home, either because he had one and knows it’s what God commands, or he didn’t have a mother home full time and understands the pain of her absence in his life.
My husband always understood the role of being the provider and me being at home with our children. It’s a huge blessing to be the one disciplining, training, teaching, nurturing, protecting, and caring for one’s own children. It helps them grow up secure and emotionally stable. Do what it takes to give this to your children. Our culture has become like Sodom and Gomorrah. Children NEED to be with their mothers at home. And yes, MANY have learned to live on one income, contrary to what many claim these days. It only takes learning to live without all of your wants and being able to clearly discern between wants and needs.

After fifteen months of assiduous reading, study, observation, and research, I have come to some conclusions about what is called COVID-19.
I would like to emphasize that I have done this work obsessively since it seemed so important.
I have consulted information and arguments across all media, corporate and alternative, academic, medical, books, etc. I have consulted with researchers around the world. I have read the websites of the CDC, the World Health Organization, and government and non-government health organizations.
In other words, I have left no stone unturned, despite the overt or covert political leanings of the sources. I have done this as a sociologist and writer, not as a medical doctor, although many of my sources have been medical doctors and medical studies.
My succinct conclusions follow without links to sources since I am not trying to persuade anyone of anything but just stating for the public record what I have concluded.
Life is short. I am going to say it now…
I know that vast numbers of people have been hypnotized by fear, threats, and bribes to accept the corporate mainstream media’s version of COVID-19. I have concluded that many millions are moving in a trance state and do not know this. They have been induced into this state by a well-organized, very sophisticated propaganda campaign that has drawn on the human fear of death and disease.
Those behind this have no doubt studied the high incidence of hypochondriasis in the general population and the fear of an invisible “virus” in societies where belief in God and the spiritual invisible has been replaced by faith in science. Knowing their audience well, they have concocted a campaign of fear and confusion to induce obedience.
I do not know, but suspect, that those who have been so hypnotized tend to be mainly members of the middle to the upper classes, those who have invested so much belief in the system. This includes the highly schooled.
I know that to lockdown hundreds of millions of healthy people, to insist they wear useless masks, to tell them to avoid human contacts, to destroy the economic lives of regular people have created vast suffering that was meant to teach people a lesson about who was in control and that they better revise their understanding of human relations to adjust to the new digital unreality that the producers of this masquerade are trying to put in place of flesh and blood, face to face human reality.
I know that the PCR test invented by Kary Mullis cannot test for the alleged virus or any virus and therefore all the numbers of cases and deaths are based on nothing. They are conjured out of thin air in a massive act of magic.
I know that the belief that it can so test began with the unscientific PCR Corona protocol created by Christian Drosten in Germany in January 2020 that became the standard method for testing for SARS-CoV-2 worldwide. I am sure this was preplanned and part of a high-level conspiracy. This protocol set the cycle threshold (amplification) at 45 which could only result in false positive results. These were then called cases: An act of fraud on a massive scale.
I do not know if the alleged virus has ever been isolated in the sense of being purified or detached from everything else aside from being cultured in a lab. Therefore I do not know if the virus exists.
I know that the experimental mRNA “vaccines” that are being pushed on everyone are not traditional vaccines but dangerous experiments whose long-term consequences are unknown. And I know that Moderna says its messenger RNA (mRNA) non-vaccine “vaccine” functions “like an operating system on a computer” and that Dr. Robert Malone, inventor of mRNA vaccine technology, says that the lipid nanoparticles from the injections travel throughout the body and settle in large quantities in multiple organs where the spike protein, being biologically active, can cause massive damage and that the FDA has known this.
Additionally, I know that tens of thousands of people have suffered adverse effects from these injections and many thousands have died from them and that these figures are greatly underestimated due to the reporting systems. I know that with this number of casualties in the past these experimental shots would have been stopped long ago or never started. That they have not, therefore, convinces me that a radically evil agenda is under way whose goal is harm not health because those in charge know what I know and much more.
I do not know where this alleged virus originated, if it exists.
I know that from the start of this crisis, there was a concerted effort across the world to deny access to proven effective treatments such as hydroxychloroquine, steroids, ivermectin in a planned effort to vaccinate as many people as possible. This alone reveals an agenda centered, not on health, but on getting as many people as possible to submit to being vaccinated and controlled. Social control is the name of this deadly game.
I know that those pushing these vaccines – The World Economic Forum, the World Health Organization, the Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, etc. – have a long history of wanting to drastically reduce the world’s population and that their promotion of eugenics under various names is very well known. I am convinced that the totally untested mRNA-type “gene therapy” is the key to their plan for population reduction.
I do not know if they will succeed.
I know they must be resisted.
I do not know why so many good people cannot see through this evil. I can only attribute it to having been seduced by a massive hypnotic propaganda campaign that has appealed to their deepest fears and will result in those fears being realized because they thought they were free. It is a great tragedy.
I know that all the statistics about cases and deaths “from” COVID-19 have been manipulated to create a fake pandemic. One of the most obvious proofs of this is the alleged disappearance of the flu and deaths from influenza. Only someone in a trance could fail to understand the absurd logic in the argument that this was the result of mask-wearing when at the same time the air-born COVID-19 spread like wildfire until that stopped precipitously in January 2021 when a tiny number of people had been vaccinated.
I know there has been barely any excess mortality throughout all this.
I do not know where it will all end but hope against hope the growing opposition to this fraud will grow and defeat it despite the organized censorship that is underway against dissenting opinions. I know that when organized censorship on this scale takes place those behind it are afraid of the revelation of the truth. A simple understanding of history confirms this.
I know that the temporary reprieve the authorities have granted to their subjects will be followed by further restrictions on fundamental freedoms, the corona virus lockdowns will likely return, “vaccine” boosters will be promoted, and the World Economic Forum’s push for a Great Reset with a Fourth Industrial Revolution will lead to the marriage of artificial intelligence, cyborgs, digital technology, and biology with the USA and other countries continuing to slip into a new form of fascist control unless people across the world stand up and resist in great numbers. I am heartened by signs that this resistance is growing.
Finally, I know if the authoritarian forces win the immediate battle, someone will write a book with a title like that of Milton Mayer’s classic, They Thought They Were Free. It will be censored. Perhaps it will first be shared via samizdat. But in the end, after much suffering and death, the truth about this evil agenda will prevail and there will be much weeping and gnashing of teeth.
We are in a spiritual war for the soul of the world.
The ultimate goal of every totalitarian system is to establish complete control over society and every individual within it in order to achieve ideological uniformity and eliminate any and all deviation from it.
This goal can never be achieved, of course, but it is the raison d’être of all totalitarian systems, regardless of what forms they take and ideologies they espouse.
You can dress totalitarianism up in Hugo Boss-designed Nazi uniforms, Mao suits, or medical-looking face masks, its core desire remains the same: to remake the world in its paranoid image … to replace reality with its own “reality.”
We are right in the middle of this process currently, which is why everything feels so batshit crazy. The global capitalist ruling classes are implementing a new official ideology, in other words, a new “reality.” That’s what an official ideology is. It’s more than just a set of beliefs. Anyone can have any beliefs they want. Your personal beliefs do not constitute “reality.”
In order to make your beliefs “reality,” you need to have the power to impose them on society. You need the power of the police, the military, the media, scientific “experts,” academia, the culture industry, the entire ideology-manufacturing machine.
There is nothing subtle about this process. Decommissioning one “reality” and replacing it with another is a brutal business. Societies grow accustomed to their “realities.” We do not surrender them willingly or easily. Normally, what’s required to get us to do so is a crisis, a war, a state of emergency, or … you know, a deadly global pandemic.
During the changeover from the old “reality” to the new “reality,” the society is torn apart. The old “reality” is being disassembled and the new one has not yet taken its place. It feels like madness, and, in a way, it is. For a time, the society is split in two, as the two “realities” battle it out for dominance. “Reality” being what it is (i.e., monolithic), this is a fight to the death. In the end, only one “reality” can prevail.
This is the crucial period for the totalitarian movement. It needs to negate the old “reality” in order to implement the new one, and it cannot do that with reason and facts, so it has to do it with fear and brute force. It needs to terrorize the majority of society into a state of mindless mass hysteria that can be turned against those resisting the new “reality.”
It is not a matter of persuading or convincing people to accept the new “reality.” It’s more like how you drive a herd of cattle. You scare them enough to get them moving, then you steer them wherever you want them to go.
The cattle do not know or understand where they are going. They are simply reacting to a physical stimulus. Facts and reason have nothing to do with it.
And this is what has been so incredibly frustrating for those of us opposing the roll-out of the “New Normal,” whether debunking the official Covid-19 narrative, or “Russiagate,” or the “Storming of the US Capitol,” or any other element of the new official ideology.
And, yes, it is all one ideology, not “communism,” or “fascism,” or any other nostalgia, but the ideology of the system that actually rules us, supranational global capitalism. We’re living in the first truly global-hegemonic ideological system in human history. We have been for the last 30 years. If you are touchy about the term “global capitalism,” go ahead and call it “globalism,” or “crony capitalism,” or “corporatism,” or whatever other name you need to.
Whatever you call it, it became the unrivaled globally-hegemonic ideological system when the Soviet Union collapsed in the 1990s. Yes, there are pockets of internal resistance, but it has no external adversaries, so its progression toward a more openly totalitarian structure is logical and entirely predictable.
Anyway, what has been so incredibly frustrating is that many of us have been operating under the illusion that we are engaged in a rational argument over facts (e.g., the facts of Russiagate, Literal-Hitlergate, 9/11, Saddam’s WMDs, Douma, the January 6 “insurrection,” the official Covid narrative, etc.) This is not at all what is happening. Facts mean absolutely nothing to the adherents of totalitarian systems.
You can show the New Normals the facts all you like. You can show them the fake photos of people dead in the streets in China in March of 2020. You can show them the fake projected death rates. You can explain how the fake PCR tests work, how healthy people were deemed medical “cases.”
You can show them all the studies on the ineffectiveness of masks. You can explain the fake “hospitalization” and “death” figures, send them articles about the unused “emergency hospitals,” the unremarkable age-and-population-adjusted death rates, cite the survival rates for people under 70, the dangers and pointlessness of “vaccinating” children.
None of this will make the slightest difference.
Or, if you’ve bought the Covid-19 narrative, but haven’t completely abandoned your critical faculties, you can do what Glenn Greenwald has been doing recently. You can demonstrate how the corporate media have intentionally lied, again and again, to whip up mass hysteria over “domestic terrorism.” You can show people videos of the “violent domestic terrorists” calmly walking into the Capitol Building in single file, like a high-school tour group, having been let in by members of Capitol Security.
You can debunk the infamous “fire-extinguisher murder” of Brian Sicknik that never really happened. You can point out that the belief that a few hundred unarmed people running around in the Capitol qualifies as an “insurrection,” or an “attempted coup,” or “domestic terrorism,” is delusional to the point of being literally insane. This will also not make the slightest difference.
I could go on, and I’m sure I will as the “New Normal” ideology becomes our new “reality” over the course of the next several years. My point, at the moment, is … this isn’t an argument. The global-capitalist ruling classes, government leaders, the corporate media, and the New Normal masses they have instrumentalized are not debating with us. They know the facts. They know the facts contradict their narratives. They do not care. They do not have to. Because this isn’t about facts. It’s about power.
I’m not saying that facts don’t matter. Of course they matter. They matter to us. I’m saying, let’s recognize what this is. It isn’t a debate or a search for the truth. The New Normals are disassembling one “reality” and replacing it with a new “reality.” (Yes, I know that reality exists in some fundamental ontological sense, but that isn’t the “reality” I’m talking about here, so please do not send me angry emails railing against Foucault and postmodernism.)
The pressure to conform to the new “reality” is already intense and it’s going to get worse as vaccination passes, public mask-wearing, periodic lockdowns, etc., become normalized. Those who don’t conform will be systematically demonized, socially and/or professionally ostracized, segregated, and otherwise punished.
Our opinions will be censored. We will be “canceled,” deplatformed, demonitized, and otherwise silenced. Our views will be labeled “potentially harmful.” We will be accused of spreading “misinformation,” of being “far-right extremists,” “racists,” “anti-Semites,” “conspiracy theorists,” “anti-vaxxers,” “anti-global-capitalist violent domestic terrorists,” or just garden variety “sexual harassers,” or whatever they believe will damage us the most.
This will happen in both the public and personal spheres. Not just governments, the media, and corporations, but your colleagues, friends, and family will do this. Strangers in shops and restaurants will do this. Most of them will not do it consciously. They will do it because your non-conformity represents an existential threat to them…a negation of their new “reality” and a reminder of the reality they surrendered in order to remain a “normal” person and avoid the punishments described above.
This is nothing new, of course. It is how “reality” is manufactured, not only in totalitarian systems, but in every organized social system. Those in power instrumentalize the masses to enforce conformity with their official ideology. Totalitarianism is just its most extreme and most dangerously paranoid and fanatical form.
So, sure, keep posting and sharing the facts, assuming you can get them past the censors, but let’s not kid ourselves about what we’re up against. We’re not going to wake the New Normals up with facts. If we could, we would have done so already.
This is not a civilized debate about facts. This is a fight. Act accordingly.

BLACKROCK, TOM DONILON & BIDEN
Recently, The Conservative Tree House (CTH) exposed BlackRock’s connections to the illegitimate Biden administration. The CTH author, “Sundance,” summarized the article, The Chairman of the BlackRock Investment Institute, the guy who tells the $8.7 trillion investment firm BlackRock where to put their money, has a brother who is the Senior Advisor to Joe Biden; has a wife who is the White House Personnel Director; and has a daughter who is now on the National Security Council.
BlackRock’s Chairman is none other than Tom Donilon whose literal job description for BlackRock is to: “leverage the firm’s expertise and generate proprietary research to provide insights on the global economy, markets, geopolitics and long-term asset allocation.”
CONFLICTS OF INTEREST AND INSIDER INFO
Thomas Donilon is a member of the globalist Council on Foreign Relations and is Chairman of the BlackRock Investment Institute and Senior of Counsel at the international law firm of O’Melveny & Myers.
Like BlackRock’s owner, Donilon is a Democrat who has supported and advised every democrat president and candidate from Jimmy Carter to Hillary Clinton.
The connections are extremely telling. However, what few people know is that BlackRock, among others, is buying every single-family house they can find, paying 20-50% above asking price and outbidding normal home buyers, especially in Florida, but other Red States as well.
Corporations, pension funds and property investment groups are snapping up single-family houses, and even entire neighborhoods, to rent out or flip and are competing with American families -accounting for 25% of the sales in some cities. Raw control by big money is the wholesale takeover of the housing market.
BlackRock is the world’s largest asset manager and the leading proponent of The Great Reset.

Because for the lower and middle class, owning a home is the most major part of any financial success, and ensures their future upward mobility. Permanent capital is now competing with young couples trying to buy a home. That’s going to make U.S. housing permanently more expensive and likely impossible.

“The current data is in keeping with data published last week by England’s public health agency that also showed a six-times greater death rate among the fully vaccinated than the unvaccinated and a hospital admission rate of 2.3 percent among those fully vaccinated at least two weeks earlier compared with just 1.2 percent among the unvaccinated,” further explains Celeste McGovern from LifeSiteNews.
All of this is only verifying what Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) research Stephanie Seneff warned about antibody-dependent enhancement, or ADE, which is basically vaccine-induced immune damage that makes a person more prone to getting sick.

Two enemies have conspired to neuter men and bring about the sexual confusion savaging our nation.
A. The battle from within is the inherit weakness of men that has passed to all males since the Fall which are passivity and irresponsibility. When Adam’s manhood was demanded of him, he went south. He stepped out of his realm of responsibility, obeyed his wife rather than God, and he lost God’s authority.
Mankind has been paying for this treacherous rebellion ever since. The truth is God’s authority always rests upon and works through men who take their place of responsibility. So many men are morally compromised. They lack the moral courage to take a stand in our evil day. Thus, they lack the moral authority to address and defeat evil in our day.
B. The battle from without is feminism. This leads to the inherit curse upon women, which is to dominate, manipulate, and control the man. Isaiah 3:12 warns what happens when a nation’s sayings and doings are against the Lord, “As for My people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths.”
We think we are a progressive and enlightened nation as we send our women into battle, but little do we know, we are descending more and more into God’s curse. Our nation is consciously rejecting patriarchy for the lie of feminism. If we continue in this rebellion, it is a harbinger of greater woe yet to come.
C. The battle of the sexes comes down to two issues. They are function and value. In salvation, according to Galatians 3:28, there is neither Jew nor Greek (racial class warfare), neither free nor slave (social status), and neither male nor female (the battle of the sexes). We are all one in Christ. Men are not superior in value and women are not inferior in value. God loves us all the same in Christ. It is in the arena of function that God puts major difference between men and women.
According to 1 Corinthians 11:3, God’s divine order is God, Christ, man, and woman. God presupposes strength and leadership to men. 1 Corinthians 16:13 states, “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.”
On the other hand, and this maybe fighting words in today’s feminized culture, God calls women, the weaker vessel. It is this revelation that has produced in the history of the church the notion of chivalry. Just like to song goes, “I guess it is just the woman in you that brings out the man in me.” A woman with a meek and mild spirit tames the wild beast in men and helps turn them from predators to protectors.
Since women have abandoned that role and function, which absorbs the harshness of life and grants a measure of comfort, nurturing, and gentleness in our poor-fallen world, life has become intolerable for many men, women, and children. Because the church has not looked squarely at these issues and dealt with them Biblically, it has served to undermine the building block of our society, the family.
It has also created a national security crisis. John Adams, our second president observed:
“From all that I had read of history and government of human life and manners, I had drawn this conclusion, that the manners of women were the most infallible barometer to ascertain the degree of morality and virtue of a nation. The Jews, the Greeks, the Romans, the Swiss, the Dutch, all lost their public spirit and their republican forms of government when they lost the modesty and domestic virtues of their women.”
The issue we face now is what do we do as our nation, government, church, and culture either reject Biblical manhood or consider it superfluous in today’s world? Just look at the sitcoms. How is the man, the father, presented? He is the buffoon, the idiot, and the brunt of every feministic joke. The women have it all together. They are sharp, smart, the heroine, and the one who must rule over incompetent, cowardly men. The children are depicted as taking advantage of this disorder to rule the roost. It is literally a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree departure from God’s creative order.
God’s Answer
Malachi 4:5, 6 declares, “Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
These are the last words spoken by God to His people in the Old Testament. Notice the last recorded word in the Old Testament is “curse.” It is directly related to fatherlessness. Four hundred years passed in utter silence. There was not a prophet, angel, dream, nor vision sent from heaven to God’s people. The heavens were brass and there was a famine for the Word (Amos 8:11).
Suddenly at the dawn of the New Testament, the Lord shatters the silence in Luke 1:11-17. The Lord reiterates the same message from Malachi. When God repeats Himself, it is for emphasis. He does not have a stuttering problem. He highlights the same distinctive marks in Malachi; holiness of life based upon the conformity to God’s law and a call for dads to be good dads.
These two requirements prepared the way of the Lord and received Messiah in the earth. They also are required to advance God’s cause and Kingdom in the earth. This is why true manhood is hated, and fatherhood is mocked in today’s culture.
Men, our manhood will be based on two Biblical models. The first is what we inherited from the first Adam, and what is now available to us through the second Adam, Jesus Christ. One will be defined by passivity and irresponsibility or one that will be defined by leading courageously with God’s Word (Matthew 4:1-11).
Psalm 112:1, 2 states, “Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed.”
Fathers think of creating a Christian Dynasty according to the legacy of the Scottish Covenanters. Faithful Scottish Pastors challenged the men of their congregations to disciple and train their families for the glory of God. It was they who gave us the Titanic motto “Women and Children First” and the legacy of the Birkenhead sea disaster where they lived out that motto.
