Are you a crown to your husband?

“A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is rottenness is his bones” (Proverbs 12:4).

“A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband,…. One that is loving and chaste, constant and faithful, obsequious [promptly obedient] and submissive to him; that is diligent in the affairs of her house, takes care of her family, brings up her children, and is an honour and credit to her husband.

“…but she that maketh ashamed; makes her husband ashamed, by her levity [unsteady] and wantonness [lack of self-control], her negligence and slothfulness, so that he is ashamed to be seen with her, or to be known that he stands in such a relation to her…

“…she is as rottenness in his bones; a constant grief to his mind, a pressure upon his spirits, a wasting of his body, and a consumption of his estate; she is, as the Targum has it, ‘as a worm in wood,’ which rots and consumes it.” (Gill’s Exposition of the Bible)

A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband. She is loving so she lives out God’s definition of love found in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8: “Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.”

She is chaste. She is free from all obscenity. She is careful how she speaks, the words she uses, and the things she watches and reads. She is careful to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh. She is faithful to her husband until death does she part. She knows that it is her privilege to satisfy him sexually and not to deprive him.

She is constant and faithful. He doesn’t have to worry what kind of a mood she will be in since she is lead by truth rather than her emotions, feelings, or even her hormones and health. Her mind is stayed upon the Lord and His Word. She loves to glorify Him in all that she does. She is His servant and lives to please Him by serving her husband and learning what pleases him.

When her husband asks something of her, she does it as soon as she can, immediately if possible. She submits to his leadership since she knows this is how God has ordained it to be. She is a willing follower of her husband and wouldn’t want it any other way. She doesn’t try to manipulate or control her husband since she knows this is wrong. She is content in the role that God has given to her.

She is diligent in the affairs of the house. She loves to work hard in her home and is thankful for it. She loves beauty and understands that a clean and tidy home is beautiful no matter how simple it is. There are times when it gets messy due to small children but this doesn’t bother her since she knows her children are more important than having a perfect home. However, she isn’t lazy in her home keeping duties. She tries the best that she can to stay on top of them. She looks well to the ways of her household.

Taking care of her family is her first priority above everything else. She makes sure they are well fed with clean clothes before she takes on any other responsibilities. She knows she was created to be her husband’s help meet and her children’s mother so this is the ministry that she focuses upon. She puts her time, energy, and talents into being the best wife and mother that she can be. She knows that there are eternal rewards in doing this since this is exactly what God has called her to do.

She raises her children in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord. She trains, disciplines, and teaches them. She understands that teaching them the ways of the Lord is the most important thing that she can do for them since the greatest joy in life is to have children who walk in truth. She doesn’t neglect this duty since she knows her children’s eternal souls are at stake.

This is a virtuous women. Are you are crown to your husband, women? If you don’t think it’s possible, you are wrong. God tells you that you can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you. He tells us that His commands aren’t burdensome. It’s a matter of taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ and continually renewing your minds with truth.

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
Proverbs 31:10-12

How to get a head start on preparing for post election Civil Unrest

By Lee DeCovnick

Only fourteen days until America’s watershed election. Some of you may be concerned that your family has not made adequate preparations for the probable civil unrest ahead.  Not to worry: here are some bare-bones suggestion that will ensure that you and your loved ones will have the basics needed for some short-term supply chain shortages.

These are suggestions that I have personally purchased for my family and our extended family.

Shop for these items at three or four different stores.  You don’t want folks to notice two or three shopping carts overflowing with obvious prep supplies.  It’s time to stay under the radar.

Water is life.  Have on hand two gallons of water a day per person for 14 days.  Do this first.

Here are the “must have” items that you will need before November 3.

  • A two-month supply of your prescription medications and your over-the counter medications.
  • 20 AA and 20 AAA batteries.
  • Two good flashlights per person plus extra batteries
  • 20 Bic lighters.
  • 25 candles.
  • Two portable radios plus extra batteries
  • 3 rolls of Duck Tape
  • 2 extra tarps.
  • 200 feet of 550 lb. paracord.
  • An everyday carry knife for each person
  • A professional bleed/trauma first aid kit
  • 2–3 bottles unscented household bleach

This week, fill up your vehicles with gas, and don’t let them go under three fourths full.  Check the spare tire and buy a couple quarts of oil.  Also fill up your propane tanks.

Check to see that your cell phones’ OS and your cell phone apps are updated.

Make two copies of all your important documents and send the copies to family or friends out of state for safekeeping.

For this food section, I have attempted to generally balance the total calories — 50% carbs, 30% protein, and 20% fats.  Your mileage may vary.  Buy items that you like to eat already; avoid items that you have never tried.

Rice: 25 pounds total

Dried Black Beans: 1- 4- or 5-pound bag

Dried Pinto Beans: 1- 4- or 5-pound bag

Dried Garbanzo Beans: 1- 4- or 5-pound bag

Dried Kidney Beans: 1- 4- or 5-pound bag

Dried Lentils: 1- 4- or 5-pound bag

All Purpose Flour (unbleached): 1- 10-pound bag per person

Yeast: 2 ounces per person

Rolled Oats: 10 pounds

Corn Bread Mix: 4 packages

Muffin Mix: 4 packages

Canned Tuna: 60 oz. total

Canned Pink Salmon: 36 oz. total

Spam or Beef Stew: 12 cans

Chili and Beans: 12 cans

Powdered Milk: 4 cups reconstituted per day per person

Powdered Hot Cocoa Mix: 2 cups reconstituted per day per person

Olive Oil: 1- 51 oz. bottle

Canola Oil: 1- 48 oz. bottle

Mayonnaise: 2- 20 oz. jars

Peanut Butter: 2- 48 oz. jars

Jam/Jelly/Honey: 3–4 large jars

Salt: 1- 26 oz. Morton Salt

Brown Sugar: 1- 32 oz. envelope

White Sugar: 1- 4- or 5-pound bag

Assorted Nuts: 1- 2.5 pound jar

Families will need to supplement this list with fresh protein, fresh vegetables, and fresh fruit as available.  You could also add canned fruit, canned vegetables, coffee, tea, crackers, coffee creamer, condiments, chocolate, and spices to this shopping list, budget willing.  With the above items you can bake bread, make tortillas with rice and beans, PB&Js and tuna sandwiches, and have some milk with every meal.

If there is only minor civil unrest, and the post-election transition is a relatively smooth process, you may choose to keep these food items for an additional six months as insurance against earthquakes or floods.  You may then decide to either slowly incorporate them into your weekly menus or donate some of these items to your local food bank.

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with having enough water in your canteen…”

The covfefe Revolution is real, and it’s glorious!

Glorious

By J.B. Shurk

No group of Americans has been more misunderstood by the political chattering class than the alliance of Trump voters.  Until Donald Trump stepped onto the political stage, this voting bloc didn’t exist.  Now that it exists, it will not go away.  A quiet revolution has occurred in America.

For too many decades, the political parties have carved up Americans into separate and often vying camps based on region, race, and class, while never articulating a message that unified Americans as one.  Since the fall of the Soviet Union, politicians have largely discarded the lofty battle between American individual freedom and socialist state control.  They have cynically used American patriotism to hold foreign battlefields while decrying patriotism as unhealthy and xenophobic at home.  They have played up Americans’ differences and distorted their common history until Americans became strangers to one another.

Every election since the Cold War has been about “change,” but “change” has proven to be a cheap principle.  Free trade politicians pushed NAFTA as a way to discourage illegal immigration by increasing wages south of the border but managed only to destroy millions of American manufacturing jobs while doing nothing to slow down unlawful border crossings.  Washington politicians elevated Communist China to the world’s chief manufacturer with the promise that international trade would subdue the dictatorship’s human rights abuses and hostilities toward its neighbors; instead, only Wall Street has profited, while China commits ethnic genocide on a scale not seen since WWII and parlays American investment dollars into territorial expansion that threatens global peace.  After 9/11, Americans briefly remembered how important America’s existence is to the world, but then they got lost in a twenty-year commitment to bringing “democracy” to the Middle East and Asia, while letting workers languish at home.  Obama responded by selling “hope” to voters, but all Americans got for the price was the slowest economic recovery in American history and a front-row seat to an emerging class of Marxist Democrats intent on intruding into Americans’ lives, expanding government power, and barreling the nation right to the edge of a socialist cliff.  A quarter-century after the Cold War, Obama and the Democrats sought to flip the outcome.

Then this non-politician with a big personality and even bigger ideas for America pointed out something that Washington politicians had been missing for entirely too long.  “Change” is meaningless without concrete direction.  It promises nothing; it aspires to nothing; it achieves nothing.  Generic “change” isn’t a goal that can be measured; it doesn’t put food on the table; it doesn’t send Americans to Mars or inspire Americans to greatness.

He asked many uncomfortable questions.  Why shouldn’t America have the best blue-collar workforce on the planet?  Why doesn’t America have the world’s best airports, bridges, and roads?  Why is America’s military protecting foreign borders around the world while America’s borders remain porous?  Why should Wall Street’s wealth matter more than Main Street’s survival?  Why should we enrich Communist China with American dollars and sacrifice American independence to international institutions that wish to rule us from afar?  Why should some religions matter more than others?  Why should the lives of unborn Americans matter less?  Why would we want to run away from the accomplishments of Western civilization?  Why should the federal government stick its nose into every nook and cranny of American society?  Why are federal intelligence and law enforcement agencies influencing political elections?  How is it not a danger to free speech for all of the multimedia news conglomerates and Silicon Valley tech monopolies to be run exclusively by one political party?  Why shouldn’t every American be self-sufficient enough to own a firearm?

For every question Donald Trump posed, Washington was silent, but more and more Americans began listening because they had been asking those same questions.  Donald Trump was an outsider arguing for common sense, and Washington hates nothing more.  For the elite in Washington to believe that only they are fit to govern after destroying American industry, crippling America’s culture by diminishing her history, sinking America into insurmountable national debt, and sacrificing America’s bravest for endless wars with questionable goals, common sense must be strictly forbidden.  It is derided as “populist” (a counterintuitive insult coming from a political class always babbling about “democracy”) and “nationalist” (as if anything good for the United States must be inherently bad) because what Democrats lack in argument and reason, they make up for with name-calling.  At the end of the day, though, Donald Trump’s policy proposals made too much sense for too many people, and the MAGA Era began.

Along the way, the most remarkable thing happened.  A lot of Americans stopped thinking of themselves as separate interest groups with competing problems and discovered there was more connecting them as Americans than they had been led to believe.  It matters to all Americans that good jobs come back home.  It matters to all Americans that the value of wage labor not be artificially sunk by importing more foreign workers than jobs available.  It matters to all Americans that we never suffer through another 9/11 again, but it matters just as much that when America commits to war, the objectives for victory be clear.  It matters to Americans that everyone be afforded equal treatment under the law, regardless of political power or affiliation, and it matters that the lives of police officers are valued as much as those they protect.

When you pursue policies that respect these simple truths, their appeal cuts across all demographic barriers used to separate us.  It should not be a revolutionary insight that most Americans from all backgrounds want a healthy, wealthy, and free America to call home, but in a world where language is increasingly controlled and success is increasingly shamed, Donald Trump’s presidency has been nothing short of revolutionary.

Real leaders behave with purpose and determination and fearlessness.  Nobody trusts a country that leads from behind.  Nobody follows a coward into battle.  But at all times, President Trump’s successes have been less about “letting Trump be Trump” than about “reminding America to be America.”

Few generations have a chance to change the future, yet this election is ours.  When you look past the online censorship actively hiding the good news of this presidency, it’s difficult not to conclude that a silent majority has come to the same conclusion.  I saw it when members of the 1980 “miracle on ice” men’s Olympic hockey team victoriously took to the stage at a Trump rally earlier this year.  I saw it when a group of Phoenix Trump-supporters carried a hundred-year-old wheelchair-bound WWII veteran down the arena stairs of another packed Trump event.  I see it when I rewatch Lloyd Marcus and his choir, the Deplorables, rally Americans to “get on board the Trump Train.”  And I see it every time there’s a “Tractors for Trump” parade across entire counties of farmland or a boat parade so immense you could hop from vessel to vessel without ever getting wet or a Trump caravan that winds down highways for thirty miles.

We find ourselves in a moment of history when we can begin to rectify a long train of government abuses with a single vote.  As essential as President Trump has been to bringing this moment forward, this election will shape the years well past his presidency.  This is our chance to prove that the Covfefe Revolution is real, that it is not going away, and that it remains glorious.

This is how the lefts power structure collapses

By David Prentice

Weeks ago, Rush Limbaugh mentioned that the issues defining the election had not come forward yet.  He was correct.  Not entirely, because all the issues coming out right now have existed.  In plain sight.

They just weren’t distilled yet.

It’s now here, served up on a silver platter.  No, not Hunter Biden.  This Hunter Biden laptop story simply leads us to the issue.  The word.  One word that rules them all, and in the darkness binds them.

Corruption.

There it is.  That’s the issue.  To begin, you have the corrupt family Biden.  They’ve been scamming us and our system well for almost fifty years.  The man is supposedly worth over 250 million dollars.  How is this possible on his salary?  It’s not.  So where did his wealth come from?  Not from being a brilliant businessman.

Enter Hunter’s laptop.  We now know that this is a family steeped in crime and corruption.  Ole Corn Pop appears to be awash in money kicked back to him by his family members who have grifted off his reputation for years.  Hunter’s laptop has betrayed all this and more.  Much like Al Capone’s bookkeeper.  Who would have thought Capone would have been destroyed so completely by a set of crooked books?  Such delicious irony.  And who would have known that this would become the October surprise of all October surprises?

Corruption.  Full grown.  Oozing its way into America.  It’s everywhere on the left.  The Biden family.  Clintons.  The Democratic Party.  The FBI.  The CIA.  The mainstream media.  The tech giants.  It’s a full-out plague, aided and abetted by their demonic philosophy, all of them gone astray.

All of them corrupt.

The New York Post story has been there for about a week now.  The Democrat-media complex has ignored it entirely; the tech giants went into overdrive removing all evidence from their platforms.  Google.  Facebook.  Twitter.  Instagram.  The whole lot of them.  Covering up a story that deserved universal distribution and condemnation.  Instead, they covered up the most damning story to their side, their chosen side.  All of them colluded to bury this mounting evidence of wrongdoing.

How far the mighty have fallen.  And are falling.

What’s the word for a media establishment that won’t report this story?

What’s the word for the FBI having this laptop for almost a year, watching dispassionately as the Democrats impeached Trump with hard evidence in their hands of his innocence and the Bidens’ guilt?

What’s the word for the above group of bad actors colluding to forward the Russia lies for almost three years?

What’s the word for Director Wray’s involvement?

What’s the word for CIA director not releasing documents of the Russia hoax, documents that have been available for a long time?

What’s the all-encompassing word that has been revealed at the heart of all these colluding to hide the truth from an America that deserves to know?

Corruption.

This is an issue that won’t go away.  All the attempts to deep-six the truth here are failing, and miserably at that.  It’s causing a slow-walk of information to drip out to the American public.  First the stories of Ukraine.  Drip-drip-drip.  Then the stories of drugs.  Then the sex problems.  Then the Chinese stories.  The story of kickbacks to Pop.

It’s as if all the smartest people in the world colluded to destroy themselves.  By purposefully and unanimously excluding all information concerning this story from the American public.  The smartest people in the world actually believe they can be successful in spiking one of the biggest stories to pop up in any American election cycle.  Their hubris is so advanced, so viral, so awful, that they can’t see what they’ve done to themselves.  They really believe they are going to keep a cork on this.

The derogatory phrase for the establishment has been “the swamp.”  How bad is this, how deep is this, how criminal is this, how horrifying is it to find out the vast amount of corruption and collusion in so many of our institutions and corporations?

It’s staggering.  It’s infuriating.

These are the most powerful among us.  All rich.  All corrupt.  All once respected by Americans of all stripes.  And here, in one fell swoop, they reveal themselves to the average American.  As arrogant bullies, as deceitful liars, as evil as anything we’ve seen in our generation.  They have revealed themselves as the cabal of darkness.  Terrible motives, terrible actions, virtually unforgiveable in what they have done, and yet failed to finish.  And due to the hubris of the cabal, the exposé will be slow-walked until the election.

Today, Trump had an exchange with reporters, where he said, “Biden was a criminal.”

This shocked the corrupt media.  Reverberations rocked the corrupto-sphere.  The lion had roared.  There is no way the corrupto-sphere keeps this lid on.  There is also no way all these corrupt actors go back on their solemn pledge to one another.  They are bound together.  They’re stuck with each other.  And it will overwhelm them.

As this careens into the debate, as this careens into voting, as this careens into Election Day, the ultimate narrative will be set.  The doomsday clock will start.  All the corrupt actors will be pointed out.  All of them will rue the day they couldn’t get rid of Donald Trump.  He, above most anyone, knows just how corrupt these people are.  He above anyone knows how to handle them.  He, above all, knows what’s all coming out in the next weeks.

It’s going to be an avalanche of material.  It’s going to be a number of fires even Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, the DNC, the Bidens, the media, the corrupt government officials, the whole shooting match, will not be able to handle.  If they all overtly held emergency meetings with each other, they’d never stop the flood.  When Trump roared, you know he had one of his famous moments, that moment when he knows how and when to bring this to a head.  Trump the narrative-builder, Trump the destroyer will be unleashing hell on these people.

Anyone who has seen him operate knows.  This is his time.  This is how the beginning of the end of the swamp, or should I say the sewer, begins.  This is the kind of chaos these smartest people in the world, ever, haven’t seen before.  Algorithms will not help them.  Censorship will not help them.  It will be a rushing mighty wind, coming to destroy all those who didn’t understand that their corruption could be turned on them.

This is going to be epic.  Corruption will be their end; it’s just a matter of time.  And Trump will have four years to finish their corruption.

The Terrible Ten

By Charles Sullivan

As of September 18, 2020, these are the 10 states with the lowest unemployment rates in the country: NE; UT; ID; SD; VT; ND; AL; GA; MT and OK. The 10 states with the highest unemployment rates, all in excess of 10%, are: PA; NJ; IL; MA; NM; CA; HI; NY; RI and NV.

See a pattern? Of the 10 states with the lowest unemployment rates, only Montana has a Democrat governor. Of the 10 states with the highest unemployment rates, only one, Massachusetts, has a Republican governor. Additionally, of the 10 states with the highest unemployment rates, all have Democrat control of both houses of the state legislature except for Pennsylvania, with Republican control of both houses.

I live in deep blue New Mexico, one of the terrible ten with unemployment rates in excess of ten percent. NM has had single-party Dem rule at the state level for most of the last 90 years. In the state legislature, the last time Republicans held a majority in both houses at the same time was 1930. In the 90 years since 1931, Dems have held a majority in both houses of the legislature for 80 of those years. In the appellate court system, the last time Republicans held a majority on the NM Supreme Court was in the 1920s. Today, four of the five justices on the court are Dems. Our Court of Appeals was formed in 1966 and has never had a Republican majority. Currently, nine of the ten judges on that court are Dems. In the executive branch, over the past ninety years it has been 58 to 32 in favor of the Dems. But at no time when we have had a Republican governor has that governor also held control of both houses of the state legislature at the same time. Therefore, his power has been greatly restricted.

As reported periodically by Wallet Hub, NM has had some of the toughest Wuhan virus lockdowns in the western United States. The result has been that the private sector economy has been decimated. Job losses have been greater than during the financial meltdown of 2007 – 2008. To the best of my knowledge, only job losses suffered during the Great Depression were greater, on a percentage basis.

Although there are daily reports in the media of the hard times for small businesses in NM, especially restaurants, I cannot recall a single report about any layoffs in the public sector. I personally have not heard of a single federal, state, or local employee in NM who has been laid off in the seven months since the lockdown began here in mid-March. I wanted to investigate.

As I started my research at the Bureau of Labor Statistics website, it became immediately apparent that the job losses in NM are primarily limited to the private sector, and that the public sector has been largely untouched. What about the other terrible ten states? I found a similar pattern. For the year ending in August of 2020, here are the numbers:

State

year non-farm total % labor change

year leisure and hospitality total % labor change

year total government % labor change

PA

(-8.2)

(-28.2)

(-1.6)

NJ

(-9)

(-31)

(-4.7)

IL

(-7)

(-23.1)

(-4.6)

MA

(-10.9)

(-38.7)

(-5.9)

NM

(-8)

(-29)

(-3.3)

CA

(-9.1)

(-31.2)

HI

(-16.1)

NY

(-12.4)

(-41.7)

(-6.8)

RI

(-7.4)

(-21.5)

(-1.2)

NV

(-9.4)

(-15.9)

(-4.5)

average

(-9.75)

(-31.27)

(-3.79)

I included the category of hospitality and leisure to show how badly it has been savaged compared to other categories.

Note that in every state of the terrible ten, the loss of government employment has been substantially less than the overall nonfarm labor loss percentage. The average government job loss of 3.79% is just 38% (3.79/9.75) of the average for all nonfarm labor loss. In other words, it is 62% less. On a percentage basis, government losses have been 88% less than the leisure and hospitality industries. So much for sharing the pain by government. Particular scorn should be heaped on the State of Hawaii, that made the great sacrifice of reducing its government workforce by 6 tenths of one percent while its leisure and hospitality industry suffered catastrophic losses of over 50%.

Here in New Mexico, we soldier on and increasingly wonder if the state will ever return to normal. More and more of us are taking road trips to nearby states to remind us of what relative normalcy is like and to preserve our sanity. It is expected that tens of thousands will be leaving the state due to loss of jobs.

Meanwhile, our Chihuahua-like governor, Michelle Lujan Grisham, continues to bark at us. When Wuhan virus infection rates go down, she gives press conferences praising herself and her policies as the principal cause. When numbers worsen, as they recently did, she gives a press conference scolding the public for disobeying her orders and blames the public for the worsening numbers.
